00:00We were a Long Island bar band that demanded everybody's attention.

00:06I was wearing like a tied up woman's top and a pair of Daisy Duke shorts, and I then kicked your ass.

00:11How do you explain that to your friends and family?

00:14Embarking on a decade-long rollercoaster ride, hungry for success.

00:19We were like the poster child for an unsignable act for the worst thing ever.

00:23But in 1984, we claimed our prize as the heavy metal gods of MTV.

00:34With rock anthems that were seen and heard everywhere.

00:41We're not going to take it, and I want to rock our standards around the world.

00:44They made us superstars.

00:46But overexposure.

00:48Who was I to say, hey, maybe we should throw it down?

00:51A meltdown in our metal audience.

00:55They went from being dangerous to being my younger brother's favorite band.

01:02And one certain band member who turned the volume up to 11.

01:07I was a megalomaniac by definition.

01:09He would have been the biggest **** I've ever met in this business, and I've met some beauts.

01:14But it was all about D, D, D, D, D.

01:17Sparking a crash and burn like nothing ever seen before.

01:23I didn't know or care what they were going to do afterwards.

01:27Somebody should have said, this could potentially be dangerous.

01:30So when it all fell apart, I was happy it all fell apart.

01:32It was like, **** him.
