Leeds: What makes a pub great?

As CAMRA announces its best pubs in the UK, what do you think is the best pub in Leeds and what would you say makes a pub great?

00:00In its heyday, every pub had its own character, which these days, that's less and less.

00:08I don't have a favourite pub in Leeds because I used to have, to be honest with you,

00:13but the point is, most of them have closed, you know, they've got rid of all these great pubs.

00:19Basically, it's a little teetotal now, but pubs for me, Leeds has got such a wide variety of pubs.

00:25My personal preference is having an outside space for these things.

00:30So any pub where you can get to the bar, you can get your drink, you can possibly go outside, get some air, a bit more privacy in some pubs.

00:39As part of my walk around Leeds, my last stop is the Horse and Trumpet pub, because I feel it still is a pub.

00:49It feels like an old pub, it's not part of a big group.

00:53It kind of just depends whoever you're with, and then you're going to have a good time.

00:57It depends on who you're with, it doesn't really matter if the pub's rubbish or not.
