00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're taking a look at 10 of the most challenging
00:13boss characters in fighting game history.
00:18Number 10 Marie 300% Skullgirls
00:37When fighting her normally, Marie can be a tough fight for those playing as clunkier characters
00:41like Black Dahlia, but we hope your skills as Squiggly aren't too rusty because if you
00:46want Skullgirls' platinum trophy, you will be required to defeat Marie 300%.
00:52This version of the menacing maid boasts a larger health bar and is way, way more aggressive
00:57on the offense.
01:05While some have claimed that there is a way to cheese this fight, it's a little harder
01:08to pull off than your average Joe could.
01:10You'll just have to execute some patience and practice spamming Squiggly's aerial attacks.
01:15Number 9 Taboo Super Smash Bros. Brawl
01:37Some may choose MasterCore as the toughest boss of the Smash Bros. franchise, but nah man.
01:42No matter how many times we come back to Brawl, Taboo proves to be the most harrowing of
01:47the bunch.
01:48This digital entity of subspace comes with a massive arsenal of attacks ranging from eye
01:53lasers, blades, plasma cannons, and much much more.
02:04Some will stunlock you while others just have insane launch power.
02:08Fight this dude anywhere above normal difficulty and you'll have your work cut out for you.
02:13Better come in with the characters you know like the back of your hand.
02:15Number 8 Night Terror Soul Calibur III
02:27Most Soul Calibur bosses aren't this much of a slog to go through, but Night Terror is not
02:34most bosses.
02:46The ultimate incarnation of Nightmare can get you down to below half of your health with
02:50just a few hits.
02:52Even more alarming is when he takes to the sky, which is him telegraphing that his incoming
02:57laser beam is about to delete your health bar.
02:59And god help you if he so much as pokes you near the edge or pushes you off with his shockwave
03:09ability.
03:10Gotta love ring outs, right?
03:12Just wait until you fight the mission mode version of Night Terror.
03:25Number 7 Galactus Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
03:30Why do you laugh in the face of your own destruction?
03:34Who are they supposed to kill again?
03:36That doesn't matter!
03:38Onslaught was also a worthy contender for this list.
03:42However, Galactus was just downright aggravating with his attacks.
03:46Everything he does takes up the entire screen.
03:50Appropriate to his character, yes, but when there is such little room to block incoming attacks,
03:55it becomes a tad difficult to love UMVC3.
03:58Your best bet is to just continuously assault him with characters like Zero or X-23.
04:13But once we tasted that power for ourselves with the Galactus mode, all was forgiven.
04:18UMVC3 will forever be great, just only when we're mowing down friends with a broken team,
04:23and not getting mowed down by Galactus' fat hand.
04:25You win!
04:38Number 6 Paraslysia Arcana Heart 3
04:41For the entire time you face off against Paraslysia, you'll find yourself asking,
04:56when can you play the game that you bought?
04:58Well spoiler alert, you're not allowed to play the game anymore.
05:01As soon as the fight begins, Paras will immediately assault you with a volley of projectile attacks and more.
05:07You're basically going to be on strict defense for the entire fight,
05:11so you'll be insanely lucky to find any sort of window to land so much as a poke.
05:27And yes, the boss fights get even harder from here, as we're only halfway through this list.
05:32Do you want me to play the game?
05:34No!
05:35You're the one that's going to be on, right?
05:36No!

06:01which are A, achieve at least 1000 GPS, B, use a level 3 super to KO an opponent 2 times,
06:09C, beat the mini boss, or D, get at least 4 special KOs.
06:15Do any of those, and you will get to participate in the most grueling fight Capcom and SNK have ever put together.
06:22How bad is God Rugal? Well, he has virtually no recovery frames, so punishing is out of the question,
06:36and because of that, he can just string attacks however he sees fit.
06:40No, you are not allowed to play the game, so enjoy the smell of defeat.
06:444. Alpha 152, Dead or Alive 4
06:55The Dead or Alive games have seen some oppressive-as-hell bosses, but Alpha 152 is the absolute worst.
07:12You are looking at Harassment Incarnate, and worse, she takes almost no skill to play as.
07:19So many of her combos require nothing more than mashing kick several times or spamming punch like there's no tomorrow.
07:26There's just no diversity in the inputs.
07:34Even her throws can deal obscene amounts of damage with just a couple of inputs.
07:39The only means to punish her is if she whiffs with an attack that leaves her suspended in the air for a little bit.
07:453. Karai, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tournament Fighters
07:59Look, we love Tournament Fighters, okay?
08:07Karai, truly one of the best TMNT games Konami made at the time.
08:12However, if there is one phrase to describe how cheap Karai is, it's input reading.
08:17Really, it feels as if everything you throw at Karai, no matter what,
08:22she knows how to counter you before you can even press the button halfway.
08:25While Casey Jones has a projectile that she's the win, it isn't a completely reliable way to inflict damage.
08:37Even so, it's admittedly better than most of the other methods you can employ.
08:412. Dural, Virtual Fighter Series
08:51Normally, Virtual Fighter is pretty definitive in each character's moveset.
09:03This one grabs a lot, this one is more defensive with counters, this one has different stances,
09:08but Dural? Who the hell knows what's going on with Dural?
09:11Dural has such an obscenely strong mix-up that it makes her almost impossible to read.
09:16And if you're guarding for just half a second too long, she just knows to throw you instantly.
09:21Just right then and there.
09:22Go!
09:29Really, you need a new word to describe how cheap Dural can get.
09:33Here's hoping Sega will get the difficulty right with her if she's coming back in Virtua Fighter 6.
09:38Although, I would rather not see her dumb, chrome face ever again.
09:44Dural sucks.
09:51Knockout!

10:07Number 1, Azazel, Tekken 6.
10:12White!
10:17Azazel is just pain.
10:20Pure, purple, pain in the ass that defies so much of what you know about Tekken.
10:25Not only can he deal a crap ton of damage up close, but he can juggle you with Crystal Spikes to the other side of the screen or push you away with a swarm of bats.
10:41To make matters worse, most of your attacks won't even make him flinch.
10:45You will have to land a combo and a really strong one at that just to knock him off of his feet.
10:51If you're not playing with a heavy hitter like Jack, Heihachi, or Paul, be prepared for a lot of game overs and a lot of retries.
