00:00It was very special to see the dancers and to see the military people, you know,
00:28it's just wonderful. It was exciting at the time, naturally, but it's more exciting today being here.
00:36My older daughter got married to an American who happened to be a drummer, a snare drummer,
01:03and he's in bands in California, and he applied to actually perform in this fabulous event.
01:11We got chosen, so we were all over the moon, and it was very, very special.
01:16Knowing my family's background, and my mother-in-law especially, being born in Edinburgh,
01:22I thought it was a great opportunity to jump at it and honor her heritage,
01:26and, of course, represent the tattoo. So I auditioned, I applied, and I was fortunate enough
01:33to be selected. And the tricky part was, though, for my birthday, the family was going to take me
01:39here. And so when I made the band, so to speak, they had to find something else to do with that
01:48extra ticket.
01:56I think it's a special show, of course, of being the anniversary, but it's got a great story.
02:02The talent here is amazing. There's so many great acts, and the musicians just in the REMT band itself
02:11are just unbelievable. There's so many talented people. And there's a great story, I believe,
02:17with this particular show. And it's emotional. At the end, it's just a great show. I've been
02:24very fortunate to play for some great venues and some great shows, but this, by far, exceeds
02:31all of that. This is the pinnacle. This is the best.
02:34It's very, very special. It's very, very emotional. Yes, we're all very excited.
