John Mousinho talks to the media after the Blues' draw at the Hawthorns.
Transcript
00:00Obviously the chance when she was shot from the edge of the area and there was the chance at the back post it was given offside.
00:06Apart from that I can't remember Nico having to do a huge amount.
00:09Yeah they had some really good spells of possession and we had to change the way we started to rest in the second half.
00:12But that was the big frustration was that again I thought it just took us probably going in at half time to wake up and liven up a bit.
00:19And it actually took the equaliser for us to think oh actually we might be alright here, yeah they're a good side but we can definitely get something from the game.
00:26How good a goal was that equaliser?
00:28It was brilliant yeah, that's one thing we've got in terms of that strength with Murph on the left hand side.
00:34And we know if we deliver the ball into Colby, he's shown that he can mix it at this level.
00:40The mix is probably far too underwhelming for that, he's more than good enough at this level.
00:45He's got the goals and he's locked in against three very good centre-halves, he's managed to get across his man and it was a brilliant finish.
00:51So really pleased with that and like I said even more pleased with our reaction to the Heat players.
00:55We know Colby's the kind of person who missed a penalty last week, that will really hurt him because he's that kind of guy.
01:00How good for him to get a moment like that today?
01:02Yeah brilliant, first of all to get his first goal of the season, always nice to get the number nine up and running in the manner that we did it.
01:09To get back into the game and to show that result. Colby was obviously disappointed last week but he's come back in this week.
01:16He's got over it and even got on with it and scored a big goal for us today.
01:19It seems to be hobbling as he came off.
01:21Is he okay?
01:22Yeah I think he took a whack to his glute or a whack to his back so he was really struggling with that at half-time.
01:26It was just one of those that we didn't want to...
01:28Actually I don't think there's a risk because I think it's just a whack but he couldn't properly run.
01:32He obviously said I'm here to continue.
01:35But yeah at that point I thought you know we've got the subs on the bench and we can get them boys into Seattle again.
01:41I've got to ask you about a couple of big refereeing decisions.
01:43The one with Regan on Hegabo when Hegabo was through the other side of him and the penalty.
01:47Start with the Regan one on Hegabo.
01:49All I'll say to sort of qualify this is I'm sure the ref could have given it right.
01:54But I look at the first half, Colby got absolutely mauled by Campbell and didn't get anything.
01:58Start of the second half, Campbell has got two arms around Colby, he drags him down to the floor and the ref was playing.
02:03So consistent I suppose, that's all I can say.
02:07We didn't get, I thought, in the rub of the green in the first half.
02:10Molumby seemed to be able to do whatever we want and not get booked.
02:13And the second we put a tackle in we took the booking.
02:16And that was a point I made to the referee at half-time.
02:20I just thought how many times, we didn't have much of the ball in the first half.
02:23When we did have it, every time West Bomber just decided they were going to stop us on counter-attacking it seemed to go unpunished.
02:28So I know I've gone off on a slight tangent there, or a huge tangent.
02:32But, you know, maybe it could have been given, but I actually thought in the balance of the game we didn't get a huge amount.
02:39And the Ogilvy challenge in the box?
02:41I thought he won, I spoke to the linesman straight after and he thought he was a really good challenge and he really won the ball.
02:45I actually, genuinely, you've probably seen me on the sidelines, I go back and watch a fair bit.
02:50Penalties against us I don't watch until the next day because I don't want to know the result.
02:54Look, we think of last year, Watford, Coventry, they stole about 20 yards of that long throw to win the corner.
03:01What's going through your mind at this moment?
03:03I just think you've got all these subjective decisions to make as a refereeing unit.
03:08And that's fine and you're not going to get everything right, obviously we want good referees to get more out of the unit than wrong.
03:13The ball, we're standing here now, the ball's gone out and it's gone, there's like a marker where it's gone up the stairs there.
03:19And everyone can see it, but for some reason on an objective place where the ball goes out,
03:24and we had the same problem at Oxford two weeks ago when I did ask the Referees Association to look at it,
03:29Furlong steals 12-15 yards and all of a sudden they're defending a corner over the six minutes.
03:35So, yeah, I couldn't for the life of my understanding.
03:38Look, Callum Lang, you said you were going to try and get a second opinion.
03:40Is there any update on this condition?
03:42No, not yet. We are waiting until Monday for that scan to be read.
03:47And look, just over a week left, any progress on any further income or outgoings?
03:52Good question. I don't think so. Genuinely, Andy, when we sort of tick over onto past Thursday evening,
03:59it's full focus on the game, so Rich and Bradley Levin will be working hard on that.
04:03And yeah, I'm sure there will be more activity.
04:05Thanks, John.
