01:10As night falls over Sakrasabs, the ruins of Akrasrai Palace come alive with history and light. Once the grand vision of Amir Temur, this white palace stood as a symbol of power built to impress the world.
01:24Even today, Akrasrai remains a living laboratory for scientists, historians and architects.
01:43As you can see, there are a lot of books on the portals. I worked with these books, I worked with these books, reconstructing the ornaments. And after 9 years of preparation, I built it for 4 years.
01:56But even the great conqueror faced loss. Just beyond the city center, lies the Doru Saudat complex, built not to celebrate power, but to mourn.
02:06These tombs are Temur's most personal monuments, built for his sons, not his victories. The stone here doesn't shout. It grieves.
02:17Temur even intended to be buried here himself. But destiny shifted. His actual tomb lies in Samarkand. His plant resting place found by accident when the upper part of the presumed tomb area was full of residential homes.
