Housing Ministry to lead clean-up of urban discharges into drains

The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) will be responsible for ensuring local councils monitor and manage effluent discharged into drains, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.  Speaking after chairing the second Special Committee Meeting on the Decline in National River Water Quality for 2025 on Thursday (Aug 21), Fadillah, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, said the measure is part of wider efforts to improve river water quality.
