00:27to deploy a significant number of federal law enforcement and immigration agents
00:31into Washington, D.C. as part of a crackdown on crime and homelessness.
00:35Critics have called it an unnecessary authoritarian takeover of the district,
00:39which has seen its crime statistics fall in recent years.
00:42It comes at a time when South Park, long famed for refusing to be perceived
00:46as taking political sides and mocking all,

00:52against the Trump administration, at least so far.
00:55Comedy Central also announced the show will be debuting new episodes every other week
00:59through at least September 17th.
01:01While South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and the network
01:05haven't commented on the schedule shifts,
01:07one might assume they're using the extra time to edge away from the show's
01:10usual breakneck six-day production schedule
01:13and give themselves more breathing room to make episodes at a time
01:16when the show is under perhaps unprecedented scrutiny
