In a video posted to social media, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) discussed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s potential impacts on hospital operations around the country.

00:00Do you know what happens when millions of people lose their health insurance?

00:04Our healthcare system still has to treat people who are uninsured when they turn up at the

00:07emergency room, but they don't get paid for those services.

00:11That means hospitals have to eat those costs and those costs pile up.

00:15Eventually, hospitals won't be able to keep up and they're going to have to close their

00:18doors, especially in rural areas.

00:21So even if you don't have Medicaid or you don't even know anybody who has Medicaid,

00:26when you or someone you love has a heart attack, you may not have a hospital to go to either.

00:33Because once a hospital closes, it closes for everyone, not just for the people on Medicaid.

00:37Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans voted to strain our healthcare system even more

00:42just to fund giant tax handouts for billionaires and billionaire corporations.
