00:00Ghana bids a final farewell to the victims of one of its worst air disasters in more than a decade.
00:08A helicopter-carrying Defence Minister Edward Oman-Boama and Environment Minister Ibrahim Motela-Mohamed,
00:14four other passengers and two crew members vanished from the radar after leaving a craft for Abu Asi.
00:21The aircraft was en route to the gold mining region in Ashanti. All eight on board were killed.
00:26I would like today to announce the government's decisions to honour the service of these individuals
00:34and secure the futures of those they left behind.
00:40I humbly request the spirit of compassion that is the hallmark of our nation for these bereaved families.
00:49Black boxes have been recovered from the crash site as the investigation into the disaster continues.
00:56The cause is still unclear, but heavy fog was reported in the area when the helicopter went down.
