00:00A military helicopter crashed in Ghana late on Wednesday, killing the country's defense minister and environment minister.
00:09According to a government spokesperson, Defense Minister Edward Omane Bouama and Environmental Science and Technology Minister Ibrahim Murtala Mohamed were killed, along with six other people on board.
00:21The crash, described as a national tragedy, was one of the worst Ghanaian air disasters in more than a decade.
00:29Ghana's military said the helicopter took off from the capital, Accra, and was heading northwest towards the gold mining area of Ubuasi.
