Ollie Westbury brings you all the latest updates from Michael Appleton's pre-match press conference. After a difficult start to life back in League Two - Salop welcome Colchester to the Croud Meadow as they target their first points of the season.
00:00I am at the Shrewsbury Town training ground this morning having just spoken to Salop head coach Michael Appleton, the head of the game against Colchester this weekend.
00:10It's been a difficult week for town having lost their first league game against Tranmere at the weekend and then going away to Grimsby and being beaten 3-1 by the Mariners at Blundell Park.
00:21So a difficult week. Mal Benning picked up a foot injury on there and he's been ruled out of the clash tomorrow which I suppose is the only real team news that there is.
00:31Everybody else seems to be okay. Eli Harrison made his town debut on Tuesday and he played very well so we expect him to keep his place in the Shrewsbury starting 11.
00:40It's been a difficult couple of weeks for town at the start of this League 2 season. They will want to get their first win under their belts.
00:49Michael Appleton speaks quite a lot about trying to make sure that he remains calm and composed in what is no doubt a difficult situation for everyone to be involved in at the moment.
01:01The players, he must help them to keep their confidence high ahead of what is another busy week.
01:10Colchester at home on Saturday and then the game against Notts County on Tuesday.
01:16So interesting things to come from the crowd meadow as we move into the weekend and as always your reaction will be on theshrewsburystart.com.
