00:00Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge, and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening? I already need a martini. All right.
00:19In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini. I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Okay, well, I can use it too.
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:40Which part of my start?
00:42This is my best-in-law.
00:43Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Oh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:16I can't believe this is happening again.
01:18You're so mean.
01:19I'm gonna know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:21I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine, and a life-changing mentorship
01:33with the CFDA.
01:34I can't believe it could happen again.
01:36It just feels like a bad joke.
01:37I can't go home.
01:38Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:41Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:45My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:11I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:13I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:26Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design
02:59problems.
03:01See?
03:02I love it.
03:03I love it.
03:05Yes.
03:06I love it.
03:07I love it.
03:08Yeah?
03:09Yeah.
03:11So the first one was a ticket.
03:12Casey, Antonio, one of you will be in,
03:17and one of you will be out.
03:22Antonio, you're in.
03:39You can leave the runway.
03:41I'll work about it.
03:46Casey, I'm so sorry, but that means you're out.
03:50Yes.
03:51Oh, my God, you're so sweet.
03:54I'm so grateful to have met you.
03:56Good luck.
04:01Bye, guys.
04:02Casey.
04:04Babe, come here.
04:05I'm so glad I got to meet you guys.
04:07I'm, like, beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look.
04:10Casey.
04:11Yes.
04:11I know it's rough going on the first.
04:14It's hard.
04:14But you're so talented.
04:15That's why you're here.
04:16That's why you came back, right?
04:17Think about, hold that strong.
04:19Thank you, Christian.
04:20I'm going to send you the workroom, clean up your space,
04:21say goodbye to everybody, okay?
04:23Okay.
04:23And good luck.
04:24It feels harsh to leave this stage of the competition again.
04:28I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more,
04:31but I still am really proud of it.
04:32Project Runway is an experience I will never forget,
04:37and I'm probably finished with as of now.
04:39All right.
04:47Come back.
04:48Sit around.
04:49We're not done.
04:50Oh, my God.
04:51What?
04:51Christian, I don't know how much we can take today.
04:54Competition is very real now.
04:56You just saw it.
04:57Casey walked out the door.
04:58Goes quick.
05:00Ethan, congratulations.
05:02Woo!
05:03Thank you so much.
05:04Woo!
05:04I have something extra for you.
05:09Oh, jeez.
05:10Oh, what do you got, mama?
05:12Because you guys are going to continue to work in houses a little longer.
05:18Oh, what?
05:19As the winning designer in the next challenge,
05:22you're going to have an opportunity to swap a designer from a house.
05:29Oh.
05:30Christian Siriano really came in and was like,
05:33let me just drop a rock into this pond.
05:35Think on it.
05:37Like Heidi said, new house, new rules.
05:40Okay.
05:41You'll decide at the next challenge.
05:44The houses aren't over yet.
05:46Get ready for it.
05:48Bring it on.
05:49I think I know what I'm going to do.
05:51Things are about to get spicy.
05:59Ooh.
06:00Ooh.
06:01Some jump ropes.
06:02I'm squeezing on.
06:03That Pilates ring in.
06:06Hey, guys.
06:07Guys, listen to this.
06:09Here's a gift.
06:10Put these on and meet me in the workroom.
06:13Christian.
06:14What?
06:14What?
06:15Let's go.
06:19That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:22I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:26Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:28I hate the whole look.
06:29But at the same time, blah.
06:30Don't you worry.
06:31We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:36All right, everybody.
06:37Let's go to the workroom.
06:39Yes.
06:39My strategy about this switch is I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision
06:45for me.
06:46So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one?
06:50All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:52Or VJ that is hard to work with.
06:56How's it going, Diva?
06:58This one.
07:00So here's to the right choice.
07:04I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:08And class begins.
07:09All right.
07:10Come on.
07:11Get zen.
07:12Get comfortable.
07:13Get on your mat.
07:16I don't know any yoga poses.
07:18Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:19Okay.
07:20Come show me.
07:21Yoga is not my thing.
07:23I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:27Bend this knee.
07:27Yes.
07:28My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching.
07:34That's my workout.
07:35I think I pulled something.
07:39So you're going to continue to work in houses.
07:42Ethan, remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:46I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:53Uh-oh.
07:54If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me because he knows what I'm capable of doing
07:59and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:01I think he should get rid of VJ because she has not been a team player and bring over Antonio.
08:06The pressure.
08:07The pressure.
08:07The pressure is getting wasa.
08:09The pressure is getting wasa.
08:10Yes.
08:12So I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
08:21Hey, Sooth and Madeline.
08:28Wow.
08:30You messed up, honey.
08:32I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:35I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:37And I really want to see this dynamic happen.
08:39Because y'all have been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:44And I want to see it.
08:45Well, get ready.
08:46They are all talk.
08:48They run a store together, but I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:54All right.
08:55For this challenge, each house must create a cohesive activewear capsule collection
09:02where the collection goes from workout to the weekend
09:05with one of the hottest activewear companies, Kalia.
09:12So to give you guys some more insight into Kalia, we have a special guest.
09:16We have a special guest, vice president and head designer for Kalia, Alisha Scott.
09:26Hi, guys.
09:27So good to meet all of you.
09:29We created Kalia about 10 years ago and really wanted to form a brand
09:33that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion and femininity and function.
09:39And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces you got today.
09:42Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:45If you're designing a look for Pilates or run, it needs to be able to function.
09:50We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:52How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:55Make sure that when you're designing a piece, it can be used for working out,
09:59going to grab coffee, going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:03It needs to be versatile.
10:05So not only has Kalia provided lookbooks,
10:08they've also provided all the fabrications for the challenge.
10:12Okay.
10:12That's not all.
10:14Kalia is going to produce and sell the winning look from the winning collection.
10:20That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Kalia produced.
10:26I feel like it would eat down.
10:27I love the idea of this beauty in the burn.
10:31So what if we have fire on the runway?
10:35Like actual fire.
10:38So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow
10:41to create your fire-worthy collections.
10:44Don't you love a one-day challenge?
10:46Yes.
10:47One day to do this as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:51The burn of it all.
10:54Bye.
10:54Bye.
10:58Ethan, you want to see what it's like
11:00when you put Antonio and I together?
11:03It's going to be game on
11:04and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him
11:08and then he's going to realize that he f***ed up.
11:10Girl, whatever.
11:19What's our team?
11:20Team winner.
11:23Team winner.
11:24Team winning.
11:25No, it has something to do with fire.
11:28Team burn.
11:29I guess it's final answer.
11:32I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:34I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group
11:37by putting all of the boisterous energies on one team.
11:42I want the eight.
11:43I bet you're first.
11:45I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus
11:50because I don't want another drama.
11:53That was the one that I'm using.
11:54Okay, well, I can use it too.
11:56And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up wrap.
12:02So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:05Okay.
12:05Okay, guys, we need to start the cutting fabrics.
12:09I just want to be cohesive.
12:11I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:14But we got to pick a group of fabrics
12:16and all go with it, you guys.
12:18We decided to call our team the House of Lotus
12:20because we wanted to feel the vent within the berm.
12:24And so coming off the last challenge,
12:26then in the bottom,
12:27our stickler was our cohesion.
12:30So as we're going through these fabrics
12:32that Kalia provided us,
12:33we're really paying attention
12:35to what color palette we want to do
12:37so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:39Because if we miss it two times in a row,
12:42are we going to be done for?
12:43I love this fabric.
12:45I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:47This has all your colors.
12:50Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric
12:54and I'm getting a little anxious
12:55because last time he chose fabric,
12:58we were in the bottom.
13:01Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:02The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:05So let's have the inspiration of our collection
13:07be butterflies.
13:08That's the best one out of all of them.
13:10I think we should go with that.
13:11I don't like that.
13:11No?
13:12Mm-mm.
13:12You like this better?
13:14I mean, I like this.
13:16I don't like that either, but I mean...
13:17That's what I wanted to start with.
13:19Miss Joan, I want to know...
13:20It is what it is.
13:21Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:24You know, working with the twins,
13:25you know, they're a whole vibe,
13:27but our looks have to be cohesive.
13:30I love Miss Joan,
13:32but she's a little, little old school
13:34and stuck in the back in the days.
13:36This fabric's so cool.
13:37It's just more young.
13:38I'll make it work.
13:39Don't use the fabric scissors,
13:45you nincompoop.
13:47I love Alex.
13:48I didn't expect this competition
13:49to become so connective so quickly,
13:53and me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:55It's so soft.
13:56It's so cozy.
13:57Like, she's going to be in it.
13:57I mean, I want it.
13:58I want it.
13:59I'm making a lounge sweatsuit
14:02with a corset bustier top.
14:05It all sprouted from trying to use
14:08the aspects of a kimono.
14:11I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina,
14:14but my Nana was a tailor
14:16from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:17So I find a lot of inspiration
14:20in what the Japanese call
14:22intangible cultural treasures.
14:25But my mama would say
14:26that I don't bring enough
14:28of the South with me.
14:31How are you feeling this week?
14:33Feeling great.
14:33It looks really cool.
14:35Thank you so much.
14:36I appreciate that.
14:37You are absolutely looking
14:39at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:42My design aesthetic
14:43is a combination of streetwear
14:45and elegance.
14:46I want to win Project Runway
14:47for my daughter, Ava.
14:49It's right here.
14:51Having her change me as a person,
14:53it gave me so much more drive,
14:55and I do this all for her.
14:57So I have to make this stand out
14:59and hopefully wilder judges.
15:00Madeline, what informs your work?
15:07I'm trying to always like
15:09see things that I like
15:11about vintage fashion,
15:13but then giving it
15:14like my own little twist.
15:16What about yourself?
15:18I grew up in like
15:19a hoedunk farm town.
15:20I just felt inherently
15:21so different from the rest
15:23of my family.
15:23the only thing I could really do
15:25was, you know,
15:26rely on my own creativity
15:28and imagination
15:29to kind of distract me
15:30from, you know,
15:32feeling like I belong there.
15:33Did they accept you
15:34as you are?
15:35Like, you know,
15:36when I finally did
15:38come out,
15:40they were like,
15:40we don't get it yet,
15:42but we just don't want
15:43to lose you,
15:43so we're going to try
15:44to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed
15:47to be able to have
15:49my family and my life,
15:51so it makes me want
15:52to really push myself
15:54to win this for them.
15:59Hello.
16:00Hey, QuizJ.
16:01How's the team going?
16:03Let's go!
16:05I do think the silhouette
16:06of this skirt,
16:07you still have to figure out.
16:09Oh, Lord.
16:10This might send me home.
16:12I am a technical designer
16:15and I am
16:16a serious workaholic.
16:18My family is Jamaican
16:19and I've always been raised
16:20with all the elders
16:21around me doing
16:22multiple things.
16:24Even if it's not their job,
16:25they're going to figure out
16:26how to do it that day
16:27and do it.
16:28So I have to push myself
16:29because this workout
16:31to weekend challenge
16:32is taking me
16:32out of my comfort zone.
16:35I really wanted to do
16:36something that was
16:37extremely comfortable.
16:38I think it feels
16:39a little too demure.
16:41I think I made
16:42the right decision.
16:43I was the one
16:45who fought
16:45to use this print
16:46because Mrs. Joan
16:47didn't like it
16:47and she still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay.
16:49So you did it again.
16:51You wanted a print again.
16:53Everybody wants this print?
16:57Groundbreaking,
16:58this circle skirt.
17:00Yeah.
17:01Mm-hmm.
17:01I can cut a circle out
17:02right now
17:03and do this in 10 minutes.
17:04Really?
17:04We're kind of
17:07not the exact same
17:09look from the last challenge,
17:11but it can be.
17:11You're making a jacket
17:12and a jacket and a skirt?
17:14A jacket and a skirt.
17:16Let me tell you
17:17a little something
17:18about Christian Seriano.
17:20Christian would come
17:20in the workroom like,
17:22mm,
17:23are you sure about that?
17:25Or he'd be walking around
17:26like, mm, okay.
17:28That little face be killing me
17:30with them glasses
17:30and that hair perfectly
17:32swapped into the side.
17:33The top being fabulous
17:35is very important here.
17:36You should develop this more
17:38because you already know
17:39you can make a cool jacket.
17:40I'm going to listen to Christian
17:41because I know I'm taking a risk,
17:43but I do not want
17:44to be in the bottom again.
17:45You got a lot to do.
17:46I got you.
17:46Okay.
17:47Let's get it.
17:49I'm kind of going for like
17:51that modern
17:51with a little bit of Tron.
17:53This sash doesn't do anything.
17:56She couldn't do any athletic things
17:58with this hanging.
18:00Mm.
18:01Mm.
18:01What are all these lines on this?
18:04So I kind of want to achieve
18:06this kind of like texture.
18:08All of these lines
18:09you're going to weave.
18:10The inspirations for this design
18:12is the Kalia logo.
18:14It's like a twisted string.
18:17It's like very dynamic.
18:19What are you doing?
18:20It's going to be like
18:22a more like athletic,
18:25fancy,
18:26corset,
18:27bustier kind of thing.
18:29This makes no sense
18:30for an athletic look.
18:33That scares me.
18:34Athleisure specifically
18:35is not something
18:36that I normally do.
18:38Unfortunately,
18:39time is not on our side
18:41in this competition.
18:43Christian has his doubts
18:45about this corset,
18:46but we're sticking
18:46to our guns.
18:48Hmm.
18:49What are you doing?
18:50I am doing
18:51an oversized hoodie,
18:53which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:55and I did the pin tucking
18:56by hand.
18:57Mm-hmm.
18:57It's going to have
18:58the same pin tucking
18:59all over the pants as well.
19:01Oh.
19:01So you're also doing
19:02a sweat.
19:05Oversized sweat pant.
19:06Oversized sweat pant
19:07in the same fabric.
19:09Is the pant wide?
19:10Like that wide?
19:11You haven't even looked
19:12at each other's stuff
19:13and she's like right
19:14in front of you.
19:15Honestly,
19:16I really don't know much
19:17about what my team
19:18is doing.
19:19This is it.
19:20Yes.
19:21Looks very similar.
19:22Having looked at
19:23the other designers
19:24on my team,
19:25I've just been too focused.
19:26So we just have
19:27a wide pant off
19:29on the runway
19:30in the same fabric.
19:32What the f***?
19:33Like what am I going
19:34to do next?
19:34I need to think fast
19:35and pivot
19:36into some other
19:37different silhouette.
19:38If I don't succeed,
19:40I'm worried it might
19:41put me on the bottom.
19:43So I'm looking
19:48at Team Lotus
19:49and it does not fit
19:51the brief that we got.
19:52What's going on?
19:53It's going to be the pop-out.
19:54So we both have mesh.
19:55Their looks are looking
19:56a little all over the place.
19:58I think that we're
19:59going to take this one home.
20:00I look at the other team.
20:02It's like crickets
20:03in that side of the room.
20:04No one's really
20:05talking to each other.
20:06And here we are
20:07like you know blah blah blah.
20:09And then at night
20:10she just puts a glove
20:11in honey.
20:12Okay this,
20:13let's do this.
20:13Like we're helping
20:14each other.
20:15Yes.
20:17Ethan, I hate to tell you
20:18but you will be
20:19the losing team.
20:23Models, let's go!
20:24Woo!
20:25Woo!
20:25Woo!
20:25Woo!
20:26Woo!
20:26Woo!
20:27Woo!
20:27Woo!
20:28Woo!
20:28Woo!
20:29Woo!
20:29Woo!
20:30Woo!
20:30Woo!
20:31Woo!
20:31Woo!
20:31Woo!
20:32Woo!
20:33Woo!
20:34Woo!
20:34That's the top?
20:36I think so.
20:37So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:42Shawn.
20:45I think I'm over here eating it up.
20:47And it's just like, yeah, no.
20:49Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:53If I don't come through with this bra,
20:54like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:59So different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:02You tread this pleated skirt.
21:04It's really short.
21:05I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:10Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:13You decided?
21:14Yeah, yeah, I'm going to do some nice shorts
21:16and then the cargo pockets.
21:19That shoe?
21:20Are you nuts?
21:21What kind of shoe?
21:22Blah.
21:22Whoa, what?
21:24Now he's buying something.
21:26That tic-tac shoe.
21:30You have no side seam.
21:31Mm-mm.
21:32There's no side seam.
21:33Interesting.
21:35You can do that.
21:37Look at her butt.
21:38That's crazy.
21:39These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant,
21:43where there aren't really side seams,
21:46and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:50Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress,
21:55it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:59And I am feeling the pressure.
22:03Bye, models.
22:04See you again.
22:05Bye.
22:06Thank you so much.
22:07Hello?
22:08Uh-huh.
22:08Oh, I have to take this.
22:09Sorry.
22:09You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:12I'm going to tear it up.
22:14I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:16But what if your team doesn't?
22:18But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:21Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:25And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:28If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:32I hope that I made the right decision.
22:37Guys, our muses are here.
22:39Look at this.
22:41All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:46We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:51It's crunch time.
22:52Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:54I love it.
22:54Or maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:57That's it right there.
22:58Bye.
22:59Bye, everybody.
23:00Y'all have fun.
23:01Until next time.
23:02Is there a leader this time?
23:05No, because I think we don't want to have a leader, technically,
23:09because we don't want to blame someone.
23:10The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader
23:15because he talked a lot.
23:19But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:22All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:24Five minutes, we're leaving this room.
23:26That's the back of the pant?
23:29Mm-hmm.
23:29OK.
23:30Well, I know I ain't been to die.
23:33I'm worried about Alex.
23:35She's looking not finished.
23:36Mm, mm, mm.
23:39Child.
23:40I mean, I got what?
23:41How many minutes?
23:41I am really concerned with how the top is turning out
23:45and the cut of the pant.
23:46Are there pockets?
23:48No.
23:48No.
23:49All right.
23:49But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:54All right, designers.
23:55That's it.
23:56That's time.
24:04Hello, designers.
24:06Welcome to The Runway.
24:07As you know, in fashion, one day you're in,
24:09and the next day, you're out.
24:11For this challenge, we ask you to create a cohesive,
24:14active wear collection for Kalia that goes from workout
24:17to weekend.
24:18You worked in teams, and you had only one day
24:21to create your collection.
24:22All right, let's meet our judges.
24:24CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect,
24:27La Roche.
24:30Editor-in-Chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:33Woo!
24:35And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line
24:38favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:40Woo!
24:42I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:44She has a really good head on her shoulders
24:46around how to make a woman feel beautiful
24:48and comfortable in the clothes.
24:49She's gorgeous.
24:50Okay, we're ready.
24:51Let's start the show.
24:52It's going to be flaming hot.
24:56I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:58This got flammable hair now.
24:59Wait a minute.
25:00I told you it was going to be hot,
25:01and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:05I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence
25:18of this challenge with creating something that goes
25:21from workout to weekend.
25:23With the pin tucking, the silhouette,
25:25the styling is really good.
25:27I'm feeling really confident.
25:28She's a professional.
25:29You know, you know.
25:32Look at us now.
25:33I'm very proud of this look.
25:35My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:39And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:42That is a short skirt.
25:44But she's got some good legs.
25:46Look at us now.
25:47Now.
25:49Baby or not, here I come.
25:51I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:53It's not as bad as I expected it to be,
25:56but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:00It's messy.
26:02Bessy.
26:03Bessy.
26:04I'm not happy about it.
26:05It could have been worse.
26:07It could have also been better.
26:08I like that.
26:09I would wear that.
26:10You're very generous.
26:12Oh no.
26:17With my athleisure look,
26:18I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:19I like it.
26:20I think it's cute.
26:21It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:24But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge
26:27is in the past.
26:28She's got it.
26:29This is what it means to have greatness.
26:32Stepping out, I ain't checking out.
26:34She looks amazing.
26:35I've worked hard to achieve that details,
26:38that those string woven by hand,
26:41I cut all those holes individually.
26:43It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:46I want to make sure that every piece that I make
26:49is a labor of love.
26:51I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:56With that side fin,
26:57it's flowing down the runway.
26:59It's got movement.
27:01Oh, it looks so good.
27:04I would wear that now.
27:05I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week,
27:07so I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the wind.
27:13This look, it's very universal.
27:19This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on,
27:22put a jacket on, and go have a cocktail
27:24with the girl just at night.
27:25I'm proud of myself.
27:27It would mean a lot to win this challenge
27:28and have that collab with Leah.
27:36I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:39I feel like it's me,
27:40and I'm starting to be more confident
27:42in what I'm designing and believe
27:44whatever I'm creating is good.
27:50I see my look coming down the runway,
27:52and I'm thinking,
27:53okay, yes.
27:54Even though I didn't choose this fabric,
27:57I was able to be a team player,
27:59and I think that she looks fabulous.
28:01I love the drama.
28:02This is the future.
28:04You better own it.
28:05I nailed it.
28:06Oh, no.
28:07Oh, my God.
28:08This is the moment.
28:09This is the moment.
28:10He records.
28:12They gonna watch me now.
28:14Well, we know who that is.
28:18My model is looking so everything,
28:21and then she unzipsed this jacket,
28:23and it's just like,
28:24oh, welcome to the party.
28:26Bring out the tatas.
28:27Ah!
28:28I took a risk
28:29with almost recreating my previous look,
28:32and I hope this paid off.
28:39That's my girl.
28:40Wow.
28:41Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:43The way she's walking,
28:44the way that the pants are moving,
28:46how powerful she looks.
28:48I'm feeling great.
28:50I could definitely see this in stores
28:52and see a lot of people wanting these pants,
28:54wanting this bomber,
28:55even the bag.
28:56I love this.
28:57Our team,
28:58everything was executed beautifully,
29:00and I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did good, guys.
29:03We did it.
29:04I am not worried about myself,
29:06but it's hard to tell.
29:08You know, it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back
29:12to bite me in the butt.
29:17Hello, hello, hello.
29:19Bravo.
29:20That was a show worthy of fire.
29:23Congrats to all of you.
29:24We have scored your designs.
29:26In one house,
29:27ran circles around the other.
29:33Antonio.
29:34Joan.
29:35Yes.
29:36Joseph.
29:37Jesus.
29:38And Polania.
29:42You are the winning house.
29:43What?
29:43Wait.
29:44Wait.
29:45Wait.
29:46Wait.
29:47I don't think that's it.
29:48I told you.
29:51Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, BJ, and Ethan.
29:57You are our least favorite collection.
30:00Damn.
30:01We're going to talk to you later,
30:02and you can leave the runway.
30:05Damn it.
30:06My squad being in the bottom,
30:09it's unfortunate.
30:10I don't know what happened.
30:14I don't get it.
30:15We just clearly took two different directions,
30:18team-wise.
30:19Chips fall where they may, right?
30:21This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:24I just got in my head.
30:26I just hope that I get to stay.
30:31Congratulations.
30:32What we really liked about your collection
30:34is that there was a cohesion.
30:36Thank you so much.
30:37All right.
30:38We would like to talk to the designers
30:40that were our three favorite looks.
30:42And that is you, Joseph.
30:44Polania.
30:45Yeah.
30:46And you, Jesus.
30:49So that means Joan.
30:50Yes.
30:51And Antonio.
30:52You're safe.
30:53But I do have to tell you, Antonio,
30:56we all thought that yours was our least favorite
30:59in the winning team.
31:03Thank you so much.
31:04You can leave the runway.
31:05Nice meeting you guys.
31:06Bye.
31:06My brother's in the top again for the second week.
31:09I thought my look was really good.
31:10I want to be on top.
31:11It sucks.
31:13So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:16All right.
31:16Let's bring out your models.
31:19Come on, girls.
31:21Yes.
31:22What's up, Oscar?
31:23Oh, we did it.
31:24We're going to start with the designer
31:25where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made it.
31:28And that is Joseph.
31:30Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway,
31:33we knew it was you.
31:34And I think she could actually work out in this
31:36because of her little shorts under.
31:37Oh, surprise.
31:38Surprise.
31:40Yay.
31:41And she could throw on a pump or a heel and go straight
31:43to the weekend, which that was the challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym,
31:49but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night with a pair
31:51of jeans.
31:52I don't, I'm into you.
31:53I don't know how else I can say it.
31:55I mean, I was into all of it.
31:56I liked your look too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:04Thank you, Joseph.
32:05Thank you so much, everyone.
32:07All right.
32:07Belania, you're next.
32:08Oh, Lauren.
32:09I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:13I think it's really beautiful.
32:14I love all the detail that you made with the pockets, correct?
32:21And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:24She can be reserved with the turtleneck,
32:27and she can be super sexy without it.
32:29Without.
32:29Yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see.
32:32Yeah.
32:33The detail of the skirt is really cool,
32:36and it's a flattering waistband.
32:38Waistbands can go very unflattering.
32:40Girl.
32:41Very easily.
32:43Whatever it is, I like it.
32:44All right, that leaves us with Jesus.
32:46Jesus, I have to say this.
32:49You have done something that a lot of people cannot do,
32:53and that is to shut me up.
32:56Wow.
32:57I was so tough on you on the runway,
32:59and you were in the winning group,
33:01and I was still tough on you on the runway.
33:03I actually hated your look.
33:04She doesn't look cool.
33:05She doesn't look young.
33:06I think this is so versatile.
33:08I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:11And sellable, too.
33:12Yeah.
33:13Work out with it, and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:16I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:18The pant turns into a straight leg pant.
33:20She could wear it like this.
33:22Great.
33:22I mean, she could open up a little.
33:24Well done on that.
33:25It's great.
33:26Fabulous.
33:27Chic and effortless.
33:28Mm-hmm.
33:29What I also love is the detail.
33:32The fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:35Can you turn around?
33:36And that...
33:37The little pocket.
33:38The little pocket.
33:39The little pocket.
33:40Yeah.
33:41With that little black detail.
33:42Those details all matter.
33:43Yeah.
33:44Right?
33:45Yeah.
33:46I'm glad we have one special.
33:48Oh, well, I'm good.
33:49And then I have a special girl that would wear this.
33:50Thank you so much.
33:51But now is the moment of truth.
33:53They can only be one winner.
33:55And Jesus, it's you.
33:59You were our favorite move.
34:01Congratulations.
34:02Oh, he's crying.
34:03hiding those tears i want to see them those are tears of joy yeah not only are you the winner
34:12it's crazy but that also means that kalia will also produce and sell your look and i'm gonna buy
34:17it wow thank you guys so much all right you can leave the runway thank you oh my gosh we did it
34:28even you got rid of me and i prove you wrong i truly believe that if i would have stayed in his
34:34team we would have won again i won when i came on project runway 15 years ago i was so young i wasn't
34:46really out of the closet at that time and i didn't know who i was as a designer and now coming back i
34:52am a loud gay queer boy so to win the challenge and do this collab with kalia it just reassured
34:59my purpose of why i'm here to create really amazing stuff and to be on top
35:09unfortunately you were our least favorite collection
35:13ethan your team you
35:16ethan tell us why do you think you guys are up here yeah i i i think it's i think we did a great
35:36job i think you did a great job you had my favorite piece i agree so modern thank you
35:45do you regret switching one person out i i don't want to say i shot myself in the foot because i love
35:52our team i don't believe you i think you knew that you had a great look and you didn't give a
35:58about the other people on the team damn all right alex angelo and bj you are our least favorite looks
36:08that means hugin ethan and madeleine you're safe you can leave the runway thank you
36:19all right bj let's start with you let's start with the positives because there is a positive here
36:24the silhouette i think is nice i like the length i like that it's not a midi and it's not a
36:28mini i think that's versatile a lot of people can wear that it's just really that's that's all i
36:32liked about it you guys like the ties hey i love dangling i think it kind of looks like a tampon
36:38i think oh i mean this is this is unwearable i also don't understand this girl i think the work
36:45that you've done i think it's quite beautiful but it doesn't scream active wear to me at all like i
36:50don't get it that's the problem the problem yeah you needed to make this a top a pair of black
36:57leggings and call it a day and you would have had a hit this didn't need to be a cocktail dress out
37:04of context all right angelo let's hear about your look um i designed men's streetwear so i just wanted
37:11to stay true to myself i think where you have to be careful angelo is that it felt to me a little safe
37:20and boring you really need to bring in a sense of drama step it up listen i'm a basic so i love
37:28sweats i think this is cool i like this it's different you know i mean it's not for me
37:33but i appreciate that you added that detail yeah on sweats i think it's really well made it's just
37:39there was no showmanship to it yeah you know i think that's where you fell flat okay thank you
37:44all right alex tell us about your look so quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos
37:51i incorporate into the way that i create different pieces is that part of your heritage to kimono
37:56yes my grandmother was japanese okay so i go to the sauna a lot and i love a corset i don't care
38:03what the situation is at the sauna well obviously you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna but
38:09post sauna you can but you gave her a corset she doesn't look comfortable at all she can't work
38:14out in this guys the story has to match you cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining i'm sorry okay
38:22well the corset you're right but the pant and the sweater top i did like i liked the movement coming
38:27down the runway i don't know what it was coming down i was like oh it looks kind of like laura piano
38:31vibes laura piano come on guys turn around please no do you see the seam of the pant when she
38:39turns around there's the puckering yeah it is a struggle in the back there's a little bit of a
38:45problem with this bib that falls from the corset i think there's too many ideas put in the flap
38:50in the front the flap on the arm she's playing homage to her heritage and yes i love that but i
38:56don't see that in the look at all no all right there's a lot for us to talk about you can leave the
39:02runway thank you thank you let's talk about angelo it is a tough competition to be in if you're
