00:00Hello Miriam at the Bureau with your National Weather Forecast for tomorrow, Friday 15th
00:05of August.
00:07Now tomorrow's weather map shows us a cold front brushing through South Australia and
00:12then sweeping across the southeastern states.
00:15This cold front is going to bring gusty winds, showers, small hail and a lowering snow level
00:21to those southeastern areas from tomorrow, continuing over the weekend.
00:26Elsewhere across the country though, it's a much more settled story.
00:29We've got high pressure in the east and high pressure pushing back across the west as
00:33well.
00:34So those areas may see some morning fogs and frosts, but generally dry and sunny days following.
00:41Let's take a state by state look at tomorrow's forecast now, starting with Queensland.
00:45Now for Queensland tomorrow, we may see some morning fogs across those southeastern parts
00:49of the state, as well as some a little bit further north about the east coast there.
00:54Generally dry and sunny daytime conditions will follow, although we may see a few isolated
00:59showers about the southeast coast early in the day, but they will be on an easing trend.
01:04For Brisbane tomorrow, we are expecting a partly cloudy top of 22 degrees.
01:11In New South Wales tomorrow, morning fogs and possible frost across those eastern areas.
01:15It will be a mostly sunny start, but cloud will be building through the day, with showers developing
01:21through those southern parts of the state.
01:23Generally low rainfall totals are expected up to midnight tomorrow night, but we may see
01:28some of that shower activity pushing through across the weekend as well.
01:31We're likely to see a few coastal showers remaining, mainly about the central and northern
01:36coasts, but the rainfall totals are likely to be low.
01:40For Sydney tomorrow, it will be a partly cloudy top of 19 degrees.
01:44Down in Canberra, a partly cloudy top of 15 degrees.
01:48In Victoria, cloud building across the state, with fairly windy conditions in the morning,
01:53mainly about the elevated areas and the exposed coasts.
01:56Now that cloud and those winds are coming in ahead of this cold front, which is likely
02:00to bring showers across the state during the day.
02:04Rainfall totals will generally be low to moderate, but we may see some showers of small hail across
02:09southern parts of the state through the afternoon, as well as a lowering snow level later in
02:13the day.
02:15For Melbourne, we are expecting to see showers increasing tomorrow with a top of 15 degrees.
02:21In Tasmania tomorrow, cloud building through the morning, fairly strong and gusty winds
02:26across the state as well, not easing back until later.
02:30Showers moving through with that cold front, with small hail possible in the wake of that
02:34front, and a snow level lowering once again.
02:38By the end of the day, we may see that snow level dropping as low as around 800 metres across
02:42northern parts of Tasmania, as low as 400 or 500 metres in the south.
02:48Across the day tomorrow, rainfall totals will generally be low, moderate across the west
02:52coast there.
02:53For Hobart, we are expecting showers through the day with a top of 16 degrees.
02:59In South Australia tomorrow, scattered showers across the southeast of the state, with some
03:03small hail earlier on.
03:05As the day goes on though, that will trend back to more isolated showers, which are likely
03:09to impact other parts of southern South Australia as well, with fairly cloudy conditions.
03:14It will be sunnier inland, drier and milder.
03:18For Adelaide tomorrow, showers easing with a top of 16 degrees.
03:23In Western Australia tomorrow, the chance of morning fog and frost across the southwest
03:28inland areas, then a dry and mostly sunny day.
03:32It will be cooler than average though in the wake of a cold front, particularly across those
03:36southern parts of the state, a little bit milder further north.
03:40We are likely to see a few isolated showers about the southern coasts, but they're not
03:44going to bring too much to our rainfall gauges.
03:47For Perth tomorrow, it will be a sunny day with a top of 17 degrees.
03:52Across the Northern Territory tomorrow, the chance of morning fog across the eastern Arnhem
03:56land, then a generally dry, sunny and settled day following.
04:01Winds will be easing back and drier air moving in, in the wake of a southeasterly surge we
04:05had around the middle of the week.
04:07For Darwin tomorrow, it will be a sunny day and a top of 33 degrees.
04:12Now you can find the detailed forecast for your area via the Bureau's website, the
