00:07Good morning, ladies, and congratulations!
00:11Good morning, ladies. Pakilala mo na tayo sa isa't isa para dito sa ating mga ka-RCS.
00:16And with your new titles.
00:18Hello, good morning, Rise and Shine, Pilipinas.
00:21I am Joy Vercoma, Miss Philippines Earth 2025.
00:24A green and graceful day, everyone. This is Liz Mabao, Miss Philippines Air 2025.
00:35Maupay na Adlaw, Pilipinas. This is Angel Rose Campotambal, your Miss Philippines Water 2025.
00:43Good morning, everyone. I'm Athena Inessential Ladivico, your Miss Philippines Earth Runner-Up from Nueva Biscaya.
00:51Congratulations!
00:51Congratulations, girls!
00:53They will win Sunday.
00:55Fresh now, fresh.
00:56And the introduction, it holds power.
00:59Yes, yes.
00:59Miss Earth 2025.
01:01Alright, let's start with you, Joy. Congratulations.
01:03Thank you very much.
01:04How does it feel to win the crown?
01:06Well, it still feels surreal up until now.
01:08Whenever people ask me how I felt after winning, I just can't believe I got the crown.
01:13Because, you know, it's been years of anticipation of joining Miss Philippines Earth.
01:18And then finally coming to an end last Sunday and clinching the crown feels unbelievable.
01:24But of course, I'm very, very grateful.
01:25You manifested it.
01:26Yes, I really did.
01:28Because every day, leading up to the coronation, I usually talk to myself in front of the mirror.
01:33I usually tell myself, you are a winner.
01:34You're Miss Philippines Earth 2025.
01:36And the night before the coronation, I actually wrote it on paper, internalized it, and read it a lot of times.
01:42So, I just make myself believe that I'm already a winner.
01:45Wow, and the crown is now in your head.
01:46Yes, manifestation works.
01:49And then, Kaylis, what are the challenges you personally feel after being crowned as Miss Philippines Earth 2025?
01:56Well, it's only been a couple of days, but I already feel a deep sense of responsibility knowing that Miss Philippines Earth is a big platform.
02:08And in a way, I feel grounded and determined to create a big impact.
02:13So, I understand yan ay advocacy mo rin related to your profession.
02:41Now that you have the title and the crown, what are your plans?
02:44I'm planning to continue doing my work.
02:46Of course, working in the government.
02:48Pag makabalik na po ako ng probinsya ko, patuloy pa rin ang servisyo sa tao.
02:53Oo, saan ka ulit nag-war?
02:54I'm working at Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office.
02:58Okay, so talagang related ang kaning pagiging engineer.
03:01At pasok sa water.
03:02Oo, pasok sa water.
03:04Actually, as a Yolanda survivor.
03:06As a Yolanda survivor as well.
03:08Actually, nabanggit mo yan sa Q&A, ano?
03:10Tell us about a little of your story.
03:11Way back in 2013, so my province, my municipality were devastated by one of the strongest typhoon here in the Philippines.
03:19That was the super typhoon Yolanda.
03:21So I think a high school student pa lang po ata ako nun eh.
03:24Parang hinahanap ko pa kung ano yung gusto kong maging.
03:27So that moment ignited a passion in me to become a licensed civil engineer and contribute to my community.
03:32Alright, well looking forward sa iyong mga gagawing proyekto.
03:36Let's go to Athena.
03:37Congratulations also for being runner-up sa competition.
03:41So again, we said this is all about advocacy more.
03:44So ano yung iyong mga gagawing mga projects and programs for the environment after being part of this roster?
03:50Actually, before I even enter Miss Philippines Earth po, I'm already advocating for agriculture, farm for the future,
03:58which is fostering amelioration in regenerative farming.
04:02I also want to ignite the passion of the youth in agriculture, sustainable agriculture po.
04:08So after this, I'm planning to communicate in our local government in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.
04:14So we can start with our plans on how can we help our farmers and also educate the youth around us.
04:20I think very important yung mga advocacy nila because you know, as crown holders, you are ambassador of something.
04:29And people listen with that, whatever you say.
04:32So parang it helps na, you know, part of nation building.
04:35Oo, utilize, ano, this one-year reign that you have.
04:39Alright, let's go back to Joy.
04:40Joy, you also work in the government, tama ba?
04:41And I understand you were in the Senate yesterday.
04:43Yes, I was in the Senate.
04:44And ayon na rin sa news, you were consultant ka also under Senator Rafi.
04:48I signed under the office of Senator Rafi Tulfo as the environmental consultant.
04:53So thank you very much for the opportunity.
04:55But before that, I'm already working in the government.
04:57So I started my stint under the House of Representatives.
05:00I was under a portalist before.
05:02And afterwards, I worked under the Presidential Communications Office under BDF.
05:07Oh, okay.
05:07Yes, so I'm very much aligned with governmental work.
05:10So I'm very much close to public service.
05:13So, kabaro ka pala rin sa video.
05:15Baro ka bayan.
05:17Yes.
05:18So, since you're also like, sabi mo nga parang consultant also about the environment,
05:22ano, sa Senate, particular case, Senator Tulfo.
05:25Are there, ano yung mga initial recommendations mo for sure sa policy making, makakatulong ka rin?
05:31So, yesterday, we had a talk about incorporating yung mga drinkable water in our public schools,
05:38particularly in areas na medyo hirap tayo sa atin talagang drinkable water and clear, clean water.
05:45Kasi some access, some regions in the Philippines still don't have access when it comes to clean and sanitized water.
05:52So, we want children to have access to clean and filtered water.
05:56That's why we had a conversation yesterday with the Senator.
05:59And we're planning po to have a project in certain regions as determined by DSWD and DepEd,
06:05kung ano po yung mga schools na nangangailangan ng access to drinkable water in their certain areas.
06:09Interesting.
06:10Yes.
06:10Very important.
06:11So, Liz, kanina mo din na-dedicate itong win mo na ito as Ms. Philippines say?
06:16Of course, to my late mother.
06:18I started pageantry because of her.
06:20And I'm so happy that this is actually my second time joining Ms. Philippines Earth.
06:26And I'm happy that after seven years, I was able to bag a crown.
06:29And I hope my mother's watching over me and now she's proud.
06:32For sure.
06:33She is very, very proud.
06:35Okay, siguro Angel, ikaw then I wanna know, kanina mo din na-dedicate itong yung pagkapanalo, itong title na meron ka ngayon?
06:42Of course, to those people who believed in me in the first place, to my fellow Lapasnon, to my fellow Leytenos,
06:48I'm just so happy to have been able to represent my municipality and province.
06:52Because especially as we are celebrating the silver lining edition of Ms. Philippines Earth,
06:57it really inlines to what I am fighting for.
06:59So, thank you so much.
07:00Again, congratulations sa inyong lahat.
07:02And syempre kay Joy, magkukumpit siya sa Ms. Earth.
07:07And I hope you can bring home the fifth crown for the Philippines.
07:10Isulat mo na rin yan sa papel.
07:13Thank you very much, our reigning queens for Ms. Philippines Earth.
07:18Maraming salamat and congratulations.
07:20Congratulations, ladies.
