Trinidad and Tobago's Swimmer Nikoli Blackman has added to this country's medal tally at the Pan American Championships in Paraguay. He copped bronze on Wednesday in the 50 meter freestyle in 22.32 seconds. It turned out to be a one two three for him and his teammates who all attend University of Tennessee.

00:00Trinidad and Tobago's Nikolai Blackman had been building up to the 50 meter final.
00:05He missed out on a medal in the 100 meter freestyle by finishing 4th and he was hungry thereafter to get on the podium.
00:12Then came the 50 meter heats. Swimming out of lane 5 in the 5th and final heats at the Olympic Aquatic Center,
00:19Blackman finished 2nd in 22.47 seconds, just behind his University of Tennessee teammate, Guillerme Caribe,
00:27who won the Heat in 22.37 seconds. In Heat 5, Zarek Wilson placed 5th in 22.97 seconds and he also qualified for the final.
00:38Onto the final, it was always going to be close and the excitement was there on the ground.

00:57Wilson finishing 8th. Blackman finished 3rd in a time of 22.32 seconds.
