00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has signed legislation that moves the Barangay and Sanguiniang Kabataan elections, or BSKE, to November 2026.

00:09The law also extends the terms of current Barangay and SK officials to four years,

00:14aiming to provide continuity in local governance and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of community services.

00:21Lawmakers express strong support for the measure, which takes effect immediately,

00:25allowing preparations to begin for the rescheduled elections.
