Bristol City brush aside MK Dons in Carabao Cup

00:00A 2-0 win against MK Dons was enough for Bristol City to progress to the second round of the

00:06Carabao Cup in front of their supporters at Ashton Gate on Tuesday evening.

00:10I would say first of all we are in the next round. This was the goal and we did it. Not

00:17everything today was high level football but we fight, we create more chances for more

00:25goals and in the end we scored also with a set piece today. I liked it. Also in this

00:33direction we did a good job and also again no goals against us and I think it is also important

00:42that we realise the next equaliser.

00:45And that's two games in a row now with a really fast start, early goals. How important is that

00:49to you as a head coach?

00:51It's very important that we stay very sharp in the defence structure, the behaviour is

00:57good. I would say the trigger moments are also good. The second ball fights, first duel they

01:01play only long balls. So in this direction it was not always easy to come in high pressing

01:06moments but in the end the boys did a good job today, a job that was necessary in the end

01:13to win this game.

01:15And it was a third successive loss to start the season for Bristol Rovers as they were

01:19dumped out of the Carabao Cup 2-0 by Cambridge United at the Memorial Stadium.

02:07got to dig deep and understand that next time you come out a bit miles better.
