00:00One, two, three.
00:09This ASEAN Tibet Conference is the platform where we look beyond our borders,
00:17beyond our individual economies and shape a skilled ecosystem that will carry ASEAN forward.
00:24In 2024, more than half, precisely 53.56% of Malaysian secondary school leavers chose Tibet as their first choice.
00:40Now, over 430,000 students are enrolled in Tibet institutions across the nation.
00:49Our graduate employability now stands at 95.1%, a clear sign that skills training is finally matching job opportunities.
01:00And in just our second year, application to enroll in national Tibet institutions have served past 200,000.
01:09To be exact, it's about 229,000 applications.
01:16We have also introduced new certification level, from level 6 to level 8, equivalent to higher education qualifications,
01:27giving our advanced technical graduates the credibility to compete on the global stage.
01:34And more importantly, we have expanded minimum wage coverage to include semi-skilled and Tibet graduates under MASCO Code 8 and above.
01:46We call it premium wage.
01:49Our teammate journey does not stop at Malaysia's borders.
01:52We have gone to the world to strengthen our agenda, ensuring our talent is globally competitive.
01:58Today, Malaysia has forged impactful pathway from 5,125 industrial placement in China to collaboration with the Muhammad bin Zaid University of AI in Abu Dhabi
02:14and skilled exchanges with Japan, Germany, and Australia.
02:19But, in this era, the success of our nation in Tibet is no longer enough.
02:26Our workforce is increasingly regional.
02:31And our challenges are shared.
02:33This is why Malaysia has proposed the establishment of an Asian Tibet certification and excellent art before this.
02:44We must also pilot cross-border apprenticeship programs where a student from Philippines, for instance, can train in Malaysia.
02:52An Indonesian student can be trained in Vietnam and Thai graduate can be trained in Singapore.
03:00These are a few examples where turning ASEAN integration into a living reality through the movement of skills and knowledge.
03:10In this conference, ladies and gentlemen, ASEAN, there will be discussion on skills mismatch, the rising demand for digital and green talent, and the drive for innovation.
03:24I have instructed my colleagues, my officers, to capture this insight because I will not allow this to be mere dialogue.
03:35But it must be spark policies that meet market needs, open opportunities for all, make employers true partners, and fast-track, cutting-edge learning.
03:47This is how ASEAN will shape a workforce that is inclusive, future-ready, and poised to lead the global Tibet industry.
03:57And perhaps, from this very gathering, we can establish a new regional movement, the ASEAN Green and Digital Skills Task Force,
04:08uniting all of us in concrete actions, measurable targets, and steadfast mutual support to cultivate the talents of our region needs.
