Several hundred young people are now the beneficiaries of TSTT's internship programme, after being chosen from among a pool of over seventeen thousand prospects. Rynessa Cutting has more in this report.

00:00TSTT is reporting overwhelming interest in its internship program.
00:05When we announced the Future Leaders Program, 17,472 people expressed an interest on our website.
00:16Let us think in, guys. Over 17,000 persons.
00:22By the time applications closed, we had 8,652 submissions.
00:30Of those, 4,659 persons met the eligibility criteria.
00:39And from that pool, 600 were selected.
00:42The interns will have the opportunity to take part in a free AI workshop and will be exposed to other emerging technologies.
00:52So over the next three weeks, you will get a chance to build digital and professional skills,
00:56learn how different parts of a large company works, and see how your own talents fit into the world of work.
01:06You will be in one of five areas, technical, sales, customer service, support service, or quality assurance.
01:17But whatever your stream, you will be exposed to all sides of the business.
01:23You will hear from experts on AI, emotional intelligence, deportment, how to conduct yourself in the world of work.
01:33Acting CEO Kino Cox, who started at TSTT as an OJT, is urging the young men and women to make the most of their experience.
01:41Most of us are familiar with companies such as Facebook, WordPress, and those, even Dell.
01:51Those founders share one thing in common.
01:56They were 19 years old when they started the companies.
02:00Same age as one of you all.
02:01What it means is that somewhere in this room, they can be an ex-founder of Dell, an ex-founder of Facebook, an ex-founder of WordPress.
