Mark Atkinson reports from Pittodrie after Celtic won 2-0 at Aberdeen.
Transcript
00:00It's two out of two for Scottish Premiership champion Celtic after they swept aside Aberdeen pretty comfortably here at the Tawdry Stadium.
00:11The scoreline was 2-0. Goals from Benjamin Negrin, his first in Celtic colours and then a lovely strike from Rayo Hattate made it through the second half that clinched all three points for Brendan Vaughan's men.
00:23The upshot is that they sit with a 100% record at the top of the league but also are already four points clear of old firm rivals Rangers who squuttered to a one-all draw against Undie 24 hours earlier.
00:35While Celtic weren't quite at their best last week against Sinneran, they were much stronger here against the Dons.
00:41They put in a polished performance, they negated Aberdeen's front men and once they won the midfield battle they started to take control.
00:48Impressive displays from Negrin who timed his run perfectly to open the scoring and also Hattate who's finished as well worth a watch on 6-7 minutes.
00:56I was also impressed by Kieran Tierney once more at left back. He set up the opening goal with a trademark run to the byline and actually in defence they were very comfortable.
01:06Aberdeen didn't get much change out of them all day. For the Dons that's them, pointless after two tough opening matches against Hearts and Celtic.
01:14They'll need more, you feel, in the final third. Nikolas Milanovic, the much-wanted winger, was quiet at the top of the test.
01:20While Kusini Iengi, again, frustrated at attacking, wasn't a good forwards by him either.
01:26Celtic will look down at the top of the table with much satisfaction, while there's been plenty of scrutiny of their transfer business thus far.
01:33It was one of their key settings that opened the scoring, another one who played well in Tierney.
01:38And while Rogers will look to add more to his squad, he must have the aura of a satisfied man after this game here in the North East.
01:44Where it finished? Aberdeen 0, Celtic 2.
01:47Here we go.
