00:15People were so shocked by her dramatic appearance change, they thought she was trolling.
00:19But her makeover is no joke. In fact, it's so real that she admits she doesn't even recognize herself.
00:24I'm feeling very much like a brat doll.
00:26Before Michelle Wood became the talk of TikTok, she was a regular 50-year-old single mom of two from the U.S.
00:32She had traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico to get some cosmetic upgrades to her face to look more refreshed
00:38and decided to document her journey on TikTok.
00:40Michelle's procedures would consist of a full facelift, forehead lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty or eye lift,
00:47a lip lift, and a mini chin implant.
00:49I just want to look like I slept for 30 years.
00:52I've lost 130 pounds twice in my life, and I think it's just done a number on my skin, particularly my neck.
01:02She continued to share updates post-operation to document her healing process.
01:06But just a few weeks after surgery, her results started to appear, and her TikTok posts started blowing up.
01:11Why, you may ask?
01:12Well, as one person wrote under Michelle's video, this is the wildest transformation I've ever seen.
01:18You look like a young Amanda Bynes.
01:19Another TikToker commented on her page, while a third remarked, you look like a completely new person.
01:24I'm amazed at your before and after.
01:26I still don't recognize myself, and I think part of that has to do with, you know, I've never looked like this.
01:31Even when I was in my 20s, I didn't look like this.
01:34Michelle's post became so viral that dozens of response videos emerged of people sharing their stunned reactions.
01:40There's a lady on here who got a facelift in Guadalajara, and it's so good, I'm actually scared.
01:48According to Michelle, who's a semi-retired dental hygienist, the entire cosmetic procedure cost her 270,000 pesos, or approximately $14,227 in the United States.
01:59Michelle said she also spent around $1,000 for a 10-day stay at a recovery facility, which included food, around-the-clock nursing, as well as transportation to and from her follow-up appointments.
02:10And while Michelle is still dealing with some swelling around her face, she's overall thrilled with her makeover.
02:15I've always had really hooded eyes, and I can actually see an eyelid at this point.
02:18She joked, I have one.
02:19Who knew?
02:20Michelle has no regrets about her Benjamin Button-esque transformation, despite some folks leaving negative comments about her drastic change in appearance.
02:27But Michelle loves her results, saying,
02:29I am choosing to do this for me, and everybody is fully supportive.
