RNA Herefords judge Lindsay Barlow on the Herefords at the Ekka 2025.
Transcript
00:00It wasn't too bad a line up today, especially in the younger junior groups
00:03I thought it was some of the better cattle, some of the cleanest square made cattle in those juniors
00:11which I said I kept going back to I guess and especially when we got up into the progeny classes
00:16I sort of went back on a few of those junior cattle that stood up.
00:20The junior bull and junior female forbs but you seem to think they do a good job in Queensland as well?
00:27Yeah, just in our own operation I'm sort of trying to steer away from extremes
00:33so I sort of tried to lean a little bit towards that today judging with the Herefords and those
00:39cattle from down the south there like the forbs yeah like they weren't um plenty in them but without
00:46being too extreme or anything I just thought they were good doing types of cattle, a bit of coverage
00:51on that yeah they probably would do well up here in Queensland compared to some of the other cattle on
00:56in Queensland.
