00:06So anti-narcotics agents or law enforcement people are fighting fire with fire
00:10by also offering huge or generous reward money to witnesses or informants whose tips
00:15could lead to arrests of high-value illegal drugs distributors
00:19as Zarnoel Talaca reports PIDEA's latest reward money payoff.
00:25The reward of 2 million pesos is awarded to informant PISOY.
00:302 million pesos, this is already the highest amount of reward money
00:34that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency or PIDEA can give to informants
00:39like informant alias TISOY, the anti-illegal drug operation at the port of Calapan Oriental Mindoro
00:47last March 21, 2025 which stemmed from the information given by TISOY
00:53which resulted in the confiscation of 119,000 grams of SHIBU and the rest of one suspect,
01:03alias ED, has also received 2 million pesos from PIDEA.
01:07is informant with codename ED, whose information related to PIDEA's special enforcement service
01:13resulted to the seizure of 29,926.10 grams of SHIBU and the arrest of three drug personalities
01:21during a Vibas operation at Payogi Leisure Hub, Barangay Minuya, North Sagarae, Bulacan, on May 15, 2025.
01:28Alias ED and TISOY are among the 9 civilians who received reward money this morning
01:35through the agency's Operation Private Eye.
01:38Medea says that this is the first batch of civilians for this month
01:43who have received the reward under the said program
01:46and there are 17 more civilians who will eventually get their bounty.
01:52The agents explained why there was a difference in the amount of reward money given to the 9 informants.
02:11The lowest amount of reward money from this batch is over 70,000 pesos.
02:17It's more on the quantity and quality yun, on quantity.
02:24So of course, ano na sa atin pa yung resulta ng operation.
02:30Pag yung mga may mga nahuli, may naipile na yung kaso,
02:34but again, doon sa private eye, it's more on the quantity.
02:38Pagdating naman sa lawmen, it's more on the quantity and quality.
02:43So dalawa naman yun.
02:44The physical appearance of the 9 informants were concealed from head to foot
02:49with black clothing while receiving the reward.
02:54According to Pedaya, this is just for their safety.
02:57It is the obligation of, of course, ang ating government law enforcement agencies.
03:05When it comes to treating informants, we should ensure their safety and security.
03:11Kaya yung kanina, yung nakita nyo na they covered yung faces nila is a part of yung security nature for, of course, para sa kanila, for their safety.
03:24According to the Pedaya's record, the total amount of reward money that the agency released in 2024
03:31was more than 19.2 million pesos given to 59 civilians.
03:37While this year, even though it's still 2025,
03:40the agency has already released over 18.6 million pesos
03:45with 31 civilians qualifying to receive reward through the operation Private Eye.
03:53They only need to call the hotline number flashing on your screen.
03:58Pedaya urges would-be informants not to be afraid because Pedaya is here to protect them.
04:04The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency says that the reward money under Operation Private Eye
04:11is part of the government's recognition to individuals who cooperate in fighting against illegal drugs.
04:17The agency also says that no one can abuse the program
04:21since all the reports being submitted to the Pedaya will undergo verification.
