04:24which was tagged Candlelight Procession March in honor of Fish Magnet,
04:29one of the most recent victims of the unavated deadly monetary kidnapping business
04:34apparently thriving in Anambra like some other states in Nigeria,
04:38with Varidakman saying during the protest that it may be right to say that kidnappers killed Fish Magnet
04:44but the actual killers are the administrative failures of Professor Charles Chukuman Soludo,
04:49the state governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tanubu, the president of Nigeria,
04:54General Christopher Moussa, the Nigeria chief of defense staff,
04:58Kyode Egbetokan, the inspector general of police and the local government area chairman or mayor
05:04and accused them of incompetence in managing security matters in the state and the country at large,
05:09while the Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, Tocukua Kenga,
05:14who also joined the campaign, said,
05:16the campaign walk was not only about Fish Magnet but a bold statement collectively made by Anambra youths
05:22in solidarity and in support of the efforts of the security agencies in the state against killings and other crimes.
05:29After the protest, Varidakman stated in a post that,
05:33I'm glad I found this online and like I clearly said Fish Magnet was killed by Chukuma Charles Soludo.
05:40He was killed by President Bola Ahmed Tanubu.
05:43Ellipsis dot, rest in peace my name's sake,
05:47Martin Zonya KCFS and Archie.
05:49Dear at Fish Magnet, you send me a DM and I didn't see it.
05:53Even if I had seen it I wouldn't have responded because I have other priorities and a lot of issues going on
06:00and I always think people gift me things to have me advertise for them so I don't accept gift.
06:06When I saw your post on Tunde Ednut page I actually commented something funny to let you know I saw it.
06:13You are gone now and I sincerely wish I had collected the fish from you.
06:18Ellipsis dot dot.
06:19I will like to also beg Nigerians to support his business so his legacy continues.
06:25It should not be a case where because he is no more and then people will stop the patronage,
06:30the office and business is still operating, follow at Fish Magnet.
06:34They deliver nationwide, lol I finally did the advert for you and you won't even see it, rest on king my namesake.
06:42Tochukwu Okenga, the Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, in a post, also said,
06:49it was a walk for peace, a stand against violent crime.
06:53The youths of Anambra came out in their numbers in a symbolic walk for peace,
06:57a collective stance against violent crime.
07:00It was not just a march for Fish Magnet,
07:03it was a show of solidarity with the Nigeria police and other security agencies,
07:08a bold statement to condemn all forms of criminality.
07:12Together, they echoed a clear message,
07:15enough is enough.
07:16Criminals can no longer be allowed to terrorize Anambra State and the southeast region.
07:21The time has come for unity, vigilance, and community-driven action for a safer Anambra.
07:28Anambra State Association of Town Union,
07:31Hesatu, Youth President, Comrade Kenakoli,
07:34as well as Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development,
07:38Mr. Patrick Akemba,
07:40were also at the event with almost all the protesters dressed in black and black,
07:45matched from a Roma Junction in the state capital to the Fish Magnet factory in Orca.
07:50The protest did not take place without an earlier warning issued against a redactment by the police.
07:55The Nigeria police force had in a statement said,
07:59The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command,
08:02C.P. Ikue Aorotugu,
08:04F.W.C.M.N.I.P.S.P.H.D.
08:07has issued a stern warning to
08:09social media influencer,
08:12Mr. Martins Vincent Otz,
08:13popularly known as Buridugman,
08:15cautioning him against making statements
08:17or taking actions capable of inciting tension
08:20or breaching public peace within the state.
08:23The C.P. noted the decision of the family of the late Mr.
08:27Efesanachi Onyakere,
08:29managing director of Fish Magnet Outlet,
08:32to publicly dissociate themselves from any proposed
08:35or ongoing candlelight procession or memorial gathering being organized in his name.
08:40They therefore pleaded that they should allow the family to grieve privately
08:44while trusting the authorities to do their work.
08:46The C.P. emphasized that Anambra State remains one of the most peaceful in the region
08:52due to the sustained efforts of the police and other security agencies,
08:56in collaboration with critical stakeholders.
08:59He stressed that no individual, regardless of social status,
09:03would be allowed to disrupt the existing peace and security architecture of the state.
09:08C.P. Orotugu urged residents and visitors alike to go about their lawful duties without fear,
09:14reaffirming the command's commitment to maintaining law and order.
09:19He further advised social media users and public figures to exercise restraint
09:23and avoid spreading misinformation or making inciting remarks.
09:28The command further warns that anyone found undermining public peace,
09:32either online or offline, will face the full weight of the law.
09:36We have reported that the Anambra State Government
09:39under the leadership of Governor Charles Chukumasoludo
09:42has said that the state is currently in search of justice
09:45over the killing of a young and creative fish farmer,
09:48Martin Zafesnachi Onyekesi,
09:51well known by his business name as Fish Magnet,
09:54who was reportedly shot on the leg while being kidnapped on Sunday 27 July 2025,
10:01at his residence in Ezini Fite village,
10:03Hockpuno in Orca, the Anambra State capital.
10:06This, Dr. George Mogalu, the Labour Party candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in the state
10:13said that Anambra State is no longer safe,
10:16adding that, people are being killed,
10:18slaughtered for their families to bury in silence
10:21while the state governor, Professor Charles Chukumasoludo looks the other way,
10:26with no sympathy, condolence visit or statement,
10:28specifically, Mogalu said,
10:31I must speak frankly, Anambra is no longer safe,
10:35not even in the state capital,
10:37our people are being slaughtered,
10:39kidnapped, and buried in silence
10:41while the government looks the other way.
10:43This is not leadership,
10:45it is abandonment,
10:46just recently,
10:47we lost over 10 lives,
10:49in a ghastly accident at Amici,
10:51Newe South local government area,
10:53yet there was no statement,
10:55no condolence,
10:56not even a visit from the state government,
10:59instead,
10:59we see street renamings and political endorsement rallies,
11:03where is our conscience,
11:04Mogalu stated while the former lawyer to Nnamdi Karno,
11:08the detained Biafra agitation leader,
11:10Barrister Afeni Ejiofor said the people of the state are currently romancing with crimes,
11:15hiding criminals,
11:17and painting absurd narratives on social media to glorify and justify the rising crimes in the state,
11:23saying,
11:24the most frightening part,
11:26the reckless energy our own people expend defending these killers,
11:30when you shield murderers because they are your kinsmen,
11:33you embolden them,
11:34when you justify kidnappings under the guise of ethnic pride,
11:38you leave the gates wide open for the real external aggressors,
11:42like armed herdsmen,
11:43whose invasion will come when we are weakest and most divided.
11:46They said kidnappers killed fish magnets,
11:51but in actual sense,
11:54it is the government that killed fish magnets.
11:56In actual sense,
11:59it is Charles Saludo that killed fish magnets.
12:02In actual sense,
12:05it is President Bona Ahmed Chibibu that killed fish magnets.
12:09In actual sense,
12:11it is the local government chairman that killed fish magnets.
12:14In actual sense,
12:16it is the idea of police that killed fish magnets.
12:18In actual sense,
12:20it is the chief of defense staff and the chief of other staff that killed fish magnets.
12:24Yes.
12:25Because we pay our tax.
12:27Yes.
12:29We pay our tax.
12:3232,000.
12:33Nigeria is a very rich country.
12:36Nigeria is a very rich country.
12:38We have the money
12:41to have more policemen
12:44with more ammunition,
12:47more guns
12:48that can protect everybody.
12:52But for some reason,
12:53these people don't care.
12:56Your children are living abroad.
12:59You don't go to our schools.
13:01You don't use our hospitals.
13:02All your kids are outside.
13:04That's why you will never
13:05understand the insecurity of our schools.
13:09They can never understand.
13:12I look at the faces of people here and I say,
13:16let your boss go see that.
13:18Reliant.
13:19Let your boss go see that.
13:21The inevitability of death has not changed.
13:23Let your boss go see that.
13:26And you know why?
13:27Because the government don't care.
13:29They don't care.
13:30They only care about their pockets
13:32and their own family.
13:33Their selfish interests.
13:34Make it make sense.
13:36They say,
13:37I have spent,
13:37I have spent for how many years?
13:39We trust, man.
13:40Everybody keep quiet.
13:42They start for just.
13:44Everybody keep quiet.
13:46They enter Boronu.
13:48Everybody keep quiet.
13:49They enter Kaduna,
13:50that's three states.
13:51Everybody keep quiet.
13:52They enter Taraba.
13:54Say four.
13:55Four.
13:56Everybody keep quiet.
13:57They enter Beno.
13:58Say five.
13:59Five.
14:00Everybody keep quiet.
14:01They enter Edo.
14:02Six.
14:03Everybody keep quiet.
14:04They enter Bayansa.
14:04Six.
14:05Everybody keep quiet.
14:06Everybody keep quiet, they don't stay.
14:12There's no place to know this.
14:15Everybody keep quiet, they don't stay.
14:20Everybody keep quiet, they don't stay.
14:23What have we done?
14:25Everybody keep quiet, they don't stay.
14:27Everybody still fight, and still talk.
14:29Down down, down down.
14:31For how long?
14:34No, no, no.
14:36They're all wrong.
14:38No!
14:40No!
14:42The government need to do better.
14:44Yes!
14:46Please come there, we are begging you.
14:48When the government is going to protect us.
14:52Gov.
14:55Protect us.
14:57You come to a federal state, protect your people.
15:00You come to a federal state, protect your people.
15:03Come to a federal state, protect your people.
15:04You come to a federal state, protect your people.
15:06You come to a federal state.
15:08When the government is going to kill us, we are going to kill you.
15:11Not.
15:12Not.
15:13Very soon!
15:14There's nobody to vote for the politicians again.
15:16Because they are going to kill everybody.
15:18Imagine killing them over 200 people, 1 6.
15:22We are so sad that we are going to get to the end of the day.
15:52Today, because of the demise of a young blonde, I can't do one of them, whose name is Fish Magnet.
16:02Fish Magnet is a victim of the incompetence of our security.
16:13Now, excuse you, let me explain. Let me explain, right? Let me explain.
16:19Before I came here, let me just break down something.
16:23They actually wanted to stop this because they thought, I am a politician.
16:27Maybe I want to do politics for one person against this government.
16:32But I don't care about politics.
16:35So now, we are going to take a word to Fish Magnet's office to be a very peaceful work.
16:51So now, we are going to take a walk to Fish Magnet's office to be a very easy walk.
17:04This walk, the reason for it is simple.
17:07First of all, it's a tribute to Fish Magnet.
17:10And also, an awareness in government.
17:14Someone told me I lied for years.
17:16If you know it's next month, keep this connection.
17:19Don't get sinister.
17:21Someone told me I lied for years.
17:23Don't talk.
17:25Don't think you are too pressured.
17:28Don't think I put Fish Magnet.
17:30I have witnessed countless killings in my life.
17:36I have witnessed countless killings in my life.
17:39It's just quite unfortunate.
17:41Okay, thank you everyone.
17:44What you are seeing today is not only against Fish Magnet,
17:49but this is a collective way of India and Anambra,
17:52or the use of Anambra, standing with the security agencies
17:55to make sure that the killings in Anambra is reduced to a graphical level.
18:01And they are ready to work with the security agencies to provide information
18:06on issues that are concerning security.
18:09What you are seeing today is just a replica of India,
18:13the collective will of India and Anambra,
18:15and to make sure that the security is very, very stable in Anambra.
18:19And as you can see, what is going on here,
18:22we are going to demonstrate our pens, how we feel.
18:25Horsas who are on level, bringing youth to news in a more digital world.
