00:00Hundreds of millions change hands during the reign of Talpakan or the online cockfighting games during the time of the pandemic.
00:07Among those who allegedly shared in the bounty, star officers in the PNP, which does not come as a surprise.
00:14In the meantime, the Department of Justice has sought the State University and Japan's Health Ministry
00:20on more current and comprehensive forensic pathology procedures to identify human remains.
00:26Here is the report.
00:30This is the latest warning from the National Police Commission or NAPLCOM regarding the ongoing investigation of the case of the missing cockfighting into SHAST.
00:47According to NAPLCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Attorney Rafael Kalinisan,
00:52the 12 police officers who were earlier implicated so far are not the only ones being identified as possibly involved in the case
00:59based on their ongoing investigation.
01:02Kalinisan emphasized that they have also identified generals who will be involved and they will be included in Chapter 2 of their investigation.
01:09Meron po tayo natatalisod pa na ilan pang mga pangalan na hindi pa lumalabas sir sa kaalaman ng publiko
01:17at we are pursuing these names until now.
01:21The official added that they are still on Chapter 1 wherein 12 police officers have been charged administratively.
01:28Siguro sagutin kita ng malupet na without revealing too much detail.
01:45He reiterated that they will not cover for anyone found to be involved in the abduction and killing of the missing cockfight in Tishast.
01:53Last Monday, the 12 police officers who were administratively charged were placed under a 90-day suspension without pay.
02:01The order is applicable to a police colonel, police major, police lieutenant, police executive master sergeant,
02:08police chief master sergeant, three police staff master sergeants, three police staff sergeants,
02:13and one police corporal.
02:15Meanwhile, the Department of Justice or DOJ displayed one by one the human bones recovered by the Philippine Coast Guard
02:22from Taal Lake between July 29 and August 4.
02:26Among the items found were three human skull fragments with teeth, bones from various parts of the body, clothes, and hair.
02:33According to the DOJ, they have not yet determined how many individuals the bones belong to,
02:39but they will seek help from the University of the Philippines and Japan for DNA testing.
02:44Given the pronouncements of the PNP that their capacities and capabilities are limited,
02:49then we were constrained to asking for help from the UP forensic pathology department
02:56as well as the anthropology department and the Japanese government.
02:59The DOJ also called the families of the missing cockfight in Tishast to come forward immediately
03:04if they can identify any of the belongings or identity of their relatives from the photos.
03:09Once the bodies are identified, it will serve as a strong evidence for the murder case being prepared by the agency.
03:17Kahit umatras na yan sila, nakausat na sila ng kabilang side,
03:21they would still want to know whether or not itong mga remains na ito ay yung kamaganat nila.
03:29So, whether or not we welcome, no?
03:32And if they do identify, that is still something that we can use.
