00:00It's an unbelievable honour and a privilege to become your national head coach of your home nation.
00:06Massive pride in around the appointment and probably all the hard work you've put in throughout the years
00:12has enabled you to get these opportunities but overarching feeling is just excitement.
00:18There was some mixed emotions from my three daughters and my wife in around super supportive and excited
00:24but ultimately the realisation they've got to move from somewhere that they've had an amazing five and a half years
00:30that the people and the country have been outstanding to us.
00:34As we get closer to it the excitement and the opportunity they see for me is huge.
00:40They're a young and exciting group with lots of potential and I think my passion is coaching
00:46and that's where I love being on the grass and connecting with players.
00:49I'm really looking forward to getting started and getting immersed in around the regions,
00:54getting in to see those guys and the coaches and ultimately just being part of it early.
00:59We have to be patient because growth doesn't come straight away but building that process and in around the performance
01:06for me is just an unbelievable opportunity to instill something new.
01:11A couple of things to prepare, I think obviously we want to get our assistant coaches and Dave and I have started that process
01:17and making sure what we want is right and the people are right going forward.
01:22I think one of the big fundamentals for me is getting to know people and I'll be immersing myself in around the building
01:28and getting out into the regions, the coaches, the players, the staff, really immersing myself in the national game of Wales.
