Leeds reflects on Summer 2025 highlights and holidays

Leeds locals reveal how their Summer 2025 is going so far, including highlights and holiday plans for the rest of the month.

00:00I've just retired last year so we've been a few we tend to stick to more local

00:04at the east coast because I find going abroad it's too hot for me this time of

00:09year so we like Bridlington we like Great Yarmouth anywhere that's got a

00:13seaside we like the traditional seaside we like the fish and cheats but of course

00:18there's got to be an alcoholic drink involved along the way so yeah I enjoyed

00:21this summer so far it's been lovely. My little girls turned 14 months in the

00:26last couple of weeks so we're on to the next stage of nearly walking lovely to

00:30be able to have just over a one-year-old in the summer months so that's mainly

00:33being the highlight still working and so we've not got a chance to take off a

00:37couple of weeks yet although we are heading to Wales this weekend to Manor

00:42House quite a few of us going around 20 of us so yeah quite a big break actually

00:46yeah it's been really nice the weather has been wonderful especially for Leeds

00:49sometimes the weather can be a bit hit and miss it's been really sunny been

00:53able to get out more so it's really nice nice long walks that kind of stuff

00:56anything else? I love this summer especially the Alice in Wonderland expedition

01:02they put on that was one of the highlights we love the Alice in Wonderland expedition

01:07throughout Leeds Town Centre it was really good really helpful their attention to

01:10detail was really really good too. We've got some relatives coming over from

01:13America so we're looking forward to showing them up at Malham Cove some of the

01:20interior of Yorkshire as a county and showing them what they're missing over

01:26there in the States they've always wondered we went over to see them in

01:29Miami about five years ago so yeah it'd be nice to show them what we live in at home

01:37Hi Light has been coming to Leeds and looking at my daughter's exhibition she's done

01:43some amazing squiggles from Leeds University she did find out and she's

01:48exhibiting today in the Leeds Gallery and Art Museum and it looks amazing

01:53summer so far it's been good enjoyed the good weather fairly busy just in the middle of

01:58moving house so looking forward to that and we've got a an upcoming holidays at

02:02Devon with my my wife and my little girl Mila. It's been just a relatively quiet one but I've had a wedding to attend here and there

02:10here in Leeds where one of my mates a co-worker had a wedding so it was quiet we

02:18enjoyed it with lots of traditional stuff involved yeah so that was nice so looking

02:25forward I'm looking looking to visit my family down London probably by the end of

02:30the month so just to really round it off and that would be about it and then

02:35probably the carnival down here in Leeds the Caribbean carnival it's always a good

02:39one to look forward to. Having a trip down south that's where I come from I'm just

02:44going to see family apart from that nothing really just we like to just have

02:49odd days out we like going to Skipton, Nairsbury is my favorite place anywhere

02:53that's easier now we've got the free boss partiality we can we're free we can do it
