During a press gaggle on Wednesday, Border Czar Tom Homan defended increasing ICE agents age limit.

00:00Is that part of the reason why the age gap was only needed by ICE because we had more
00:06people coming from maybe ex-ICE agents or whoever, maybe the age gap limit for officers
00:12who don't come since it's no longer 37, you could be people older than 40 and a half.
00:17Yeah, I think it's a good thing.
00:19I'm 63, and I'd love to put it back again on what we're going to do with these things.
00:22I mean, bottom line, you've got a lot of patriots, and I think the age limits are decades old,
00:27and we need to look at that.
00:28But just because if someone comes in and they're, you know, 55, maybe they can't carry a badge of gun,
00:34they can certainly do administrative duties and help ICE, they can do targeting, they can do intelligence,
00:38think they don't put them on the street with a badge of gun.
00:40So we'll welcome a lot of people to come, not just do law enforcement work,
00:44but do the other work that doesn't require a badge of gun.
00:47And when they do that work, that means a badge of gun that's doing that work can leave that work
00:52and go on the street and let the new guy sit there and do the job that doesn't require a badge of gun.
00:56So we'll be right back.
