00:28powered by Community Feedback
00:30und tuned specifically for Ultimate Team.
00:33Let's kick off with Live Events,
00:35a new home for a variety of competitions,
00:38starting with the Return of Tournaments.
00:40Backed by popular demand,
00:42Tournaments are high-stakes knockout football at its best,
00:45with winners advancing
00:47and losers getting sent back to the lobby.
00:49Tournament matchmaking ensures
00:51you'll always face an opponent in the same round as you,
00:54guaranteeing intense matchups every step of the way.
00:57You'll compete for unique, tournament-specific rewards
01:00and have regular opportunities
01:02to experience the intensity and glory
01:05of knockout football throughout the season.
01:07Gauntlets are a new live event
01:09designed to test your club depth,
01:11making every one of your players more important
01:13and challenging your ability to compete with different squads.
01:16Each gauntlet consists of a set number of matches.
01:19But here's the catch.
01:20You must use a completely new squad every single match.
01:24Unlike tournaments, you won't get knocked out when you lose,
01:27but the more wins you get, the better your rewards will be.
01:30Live events are also replacing and reinventing friendlies.
01:34Live events, including gauntlets and tournaments,
01:37can have squad requirements, house rules
01:40and newly added entry requirements,
01:42allowing you to qualify for events by completing objectives,
01:45such as winning a qualifier tournament.
01:47We've also made big changes to rivals and champs based on your feedback.
01:52Bounties are the first huge addition to rivals,
01:55one-game objectives that pop up every few matches
01:58and give you a chance at immediate rewards.
02:00Complete the challenge and you'll earn weekly reward points,
02:03accelerated progress, season pass points or even packs.
02:06Bounties won't always be about the win,
02:09with challenges like score the first goal giving you a chance to earn rewards
02:12regardless of the match result.
02:14Checkpoints have also been improved
02:16to help players who felt stuck in difficult divisions,
02:19with the addition of limited checkpoints,
02:21which allow relegation after a set number of losses.
02:24We heard your feedback,
02:26and champions playoffs are no more.
02:28In FC26 you'll qualify for champions directly
02:31by reaching a high enough division
02:33and earning champions qualification points.
02:35And for those lower division players,
02:38we're introducing Challengers.
02:40A second tier of champions that allows people of different skill levels
02:44to experience the thrill of weekend league.
02:47But don't worry, champions will still be the pinnacle,
02:50with stiffer competition and better rewards.
02:53We're building on our improvements in FC25 regarding disconnects.
02:57We know your stance and we agree.
02:59Players shouldn't be able to take wins away from you by quitting early.
03:03We also know when these quits typically happen,
03:06and when they're the most frustrating.
03:08Late in a game,
03:09after a red card,
03:10or before a penalty.
03:11In FC26 if the score is tied
03:14and your opponent disconnects in any of these situations,
03:17not just by the menu but by any method,
03:19you will receive the win.
03:21Evolutions are changing based on your feedback as well.
03:24In FC26 some evos will be repeatable,
03:27similar to how it works with SBCs and objectives.
03:30Cosmetic evos will now also stack,
03:33and you'll be able to maintain the look of some evos
03:35so you can still boost the players' ratings
03:37without losing existing visuals.
03:39The Ultimate Edition comes with one extra evo slot,
03:42meaning you'll be able to evo two players at once
03:45from the very beginning of the year.
03:47We know these details matter,
03:49and each will make the Ultimate Team experience better,
03:51but the most fundamental change,
03:53and the one you've been the most vocal about,
03:55is gameplay.
03:56Ultimate Team now has its very own gameplay experience
04:00called competitive gameplay.
04:02It's tuned to maximize three things,
04:05responsiveness,
04:06consistency,
04:07and control.
04:08And it's designed to deliver the fast,
04:10dynamic,
04:11and attacking football you've been asking for.
04:13We mention quicker passing,
04:15more fluid dribbling,
04:16fewer AI blocks and tackles,
04:18fewer bounce backs,
04:19and more responsive animations in our gameplay deep dive.
04:22But there are even more ways competitive gameplay
04:24is tuned for player control and responsiveness.
04:27You'll see fewer goals from keeper rebounds.
04:30Although this happens in real life,
04:32we know it's a frustrating way to concede,
04:34and it feels out of your control.
04:36That's the exact feeling competitive gameplay is aimed at addressing.
04:40Player stamina is also being treated differently.
04:43As your players tire,
04:44they'll remain just as explosive and agile,
04:46but only when you're controlling them,
04:48to reward active defending and player switching.
04:51One-touch passes are also more responsive.
04:54Now,
04:55passes can sometimes be triggered in as little as one frame
04:58before receiving the ball,
04:59making your players more reactive
05:01to split-second decisions you make.
05:03Each of these changes makes the game feel
05:05more responsive,
05:06and encourages you to be in control,
05:08which is the feeling we want you to have
05:10when you play Ultimate Team this year.
05:12Ultimate Team is about you,
05:14the players you love,
05:15your tactics,
05:16your favorite modes,
05:17the choices you make as you play.
05:19And we hope that by expanding FUT's competitive structure
05:22with more ways to compete,
05:24improving core parts of the FUT experience,
05:26and introducing competitive gameplay,
05:28that you'll feel in control,
05:30on and off the pitch.
05:32Look out for more FUT info in the pitch notes
05:34right after this and on our social channels.
