00:00Hi there. Storm Floris is now moving away, thankfully, having brought widespread disruption
00:06across northern parts of the UK. One of the strongest August storms on record, with the
00:12joint highest August wind gust for Northern Ireland on record, Orlok Head, 66 mph, and
00:18for Scotland, 82 mph in Wyck. Now, it's still going to be blustery as Storm Floris pushes
00:25into Norway and Sweden, but actually, it's much less windy compared with Monday. Frequent
00:31showers initially across northwestern areas, transferring into northeastern areas as the
00:35day goes on. Hail and thunder in places, but those showers peaking around lunchtime before
00:40becoming fewer and further between later in the afternoon. Mostly dry towards the south
00:45with sunny spells, lighter winds, and feeling pleasant enough. Cool in the brisk breeze further
00:51north, 35-40 mph wind gusts across northeastern parts of the UK. But those winds tend to fade
00:58as the night approaches. And there will be some cloud and patchy rain into the north of Scotland,
01:03especially Cateness, Sutherland, Orkney. A few showers for Shetland. Further south, plenty
01:09of clear spells, lighter winds, a few mist patches towards the southwest as well as Northern Ireland,
01:14and a cooler night compared with previous nights. Temperatures in some shelter spots dipping into
01:18the single figures. Plenty of sunshine though as we begin Wednesday. Light winds feeling
01:23very pleasant indeed across the vast majority of the UK, the one exception. Once again, the
01:27far north of Scotland where we will see thicker cloud and a spell of light patchy rain moving
01:32northwards and disappearing to the far north into Wednesday afternoon. Thicker cloud comes
01:39along into the west by the afternoon, but it stays dry and bright in most places, feeling
01:44pleasant in the light winds and sunny spells into the afternoon.
01:49Now, the thicker cloud in the west will bring about some patchy rain by Wednesday evening for
01:55Northern Ireland and Western Scotland. The wind picks up here as well. This is the next area
02:01of low pressure coming along. This one, though nowhere near as deep or as impactful as storm florists,
02:08it's likely to push further to the northwest of Scotland and bring wind gusts close to 50 miles
02:14an hour for the far north and northwest of Scotland, but certainly not going to be such a powerful
02:21beast as storm florists. It is going to bring some heavy rain to the northwest. That moving
02:26southeast was during Thursday and into Friday, but yeah, we'll keep you updated right here on our YouTube channel. Bye-bye.
