In Cessnock, a search has resumed for a missing woman swept away by floodwaters on Saturday evening.

00:00Police are continuing their search for a 26 year old woman who was swept away in floodwaters just
00:08here north of Cessnock in the Hunter Valley on Saturday night. A 27 year old woman was driving
00:15a mini country man when they went through this causeway and became stuck. The 27 year old woman
00:22who was in the driver's seat was able to get out with her dog and get to an embankment to safety
00:28where she was rescued. Unfortunately that woman in the passenger seat was unable to get to safety
00:33and was swept away in floodwaters. Today the search effort has been considerable. Chopper has been here
00:41scanning the ground about 200 meters from here along with boat crews, police divers, along with
00:49police dogs and that search is expected to continue up into the afternoon. We just spoke with a man who
00:56was rescued by police before the incident on Saturday night. He said he's lucky to be alive.
