Personnel from the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, police and other agencies on Tuesday (Nov 18) resumed their search and rescue (SAR) operation for a missing man feared to have drowned in a water surge in the Klang River near the Saloma Link the day before.

00:00Rescue personnel commenced their search operation again on Tuesday morning for a missing man
00:05after he was swept away by a water surge in the Klang River in Kuala Lumpur.
00:10The victim was carrying out pipe upgrading works along with several others near the Saloma
00:14Link when the incident happened at about 5.30pm on Monday.
00:19The City Fire and Rescue Department said the victim wanted to move his vehicle from the
00:23site below a bridge during the downpour, but he was unable to escape when the water surge
00:28reached the site.
00:29They said 12 of the 13 individuals comprising anglers and the victim's co-workers had been
00:34rescued.
00:36On Monday, police said their search ended at 11pm and the victim had yet to be found and
00:41the rescue team would resume its operation on Tuesday.
