Hello everyone and welcome to my little corner of Dailymotion. Today's film is one of my favorites. From 1944 and directed by the great Otto Preminger we have Laura. The story of many different types of love. In this film noir we have the lovely and business savvy Laura Hunt. Laura it seems has had many people in love with her and she with them. When I say had, this is because we open with her murder investigation or is it? Sometimes when love is unrequited by one who is so infatuated with someone, that it drives to the point of madness. It can sometimes lead to murder. The film opens with Detective Mark McPherson who just so happens to be investigating the murder of Miss Hunt and all those who knew her and loved her. There's the seedy fiancé Shelby, her loving socialite aunt, Miss Treadwell. Who also has her eye on playboy Shelby. Her mentor and friend who always wish there was more between them, radio and newspaper columnist Mr. Lydecker and a few characters in between. Staring in this tale of many loves and loves lost we have....the handsome Dana Andrews as Det. Mark McPherson, the beautiful Gene Tierney as Laura Hunt, the wonderful Clifton Webb as Waldo Lydecker, the lovely Judith Anderson as Ann Treadwell, the one and only Vincent Price as Shelby Carpenter, the delightful Dorothy Adams as Bessie Clary as Laura's maid and many more. So sit back, don't forget to set your grandfather clock, make some classic Martini or if you prefer some scotch and enjoy.
