00:00Hello, it's Sam Morton here from Sussex World. I've just watched Brighton draw 2-2 against

00:05Southampton at St Mary's Stadium in Brighton's penultimate pre-season friendly before the

00:10Premier League campaign gets underway. It was actually the first friendly that Brighton

00:14have played in front of fans, so it was a good chance for the travelling supporters

00:18to see some of the players in action for the first time this season. They watched Brighton

00:24dominate proceedings for much of the day. It was 65 minutes or so, Brighton were in

00:28complete control and went 2-0 up through Yankouba Minter's brace. It was two very similar goals

00:35with his left foot into the bottom left corner after doing really well to create space for

00:39himself and he's really showed how much he's improved his finishing as he aims to reach

00:43his target, which he unfortunately didn't hit last season, which was double figures, but

00:48he's really showing signs of improvement in that area and he could have had a hat trick

00:52to be fair. He had a goal earlier on, disallowed for a foul and he also was through 1-1 but decided

00:58to pass it to Matoma, who wasn't quite expecting the pass and just overran the ball. So there

01:02were lots of chances for Brighton to win this game pretty easily, but Southampton fought back

01:07and Brighton will be disappointed with the way in which they let their two-goal lead slip

01:14quite quickly and it did fall apart quite drastically for Brighton. It was a bit of an unlucky deflection

01:20from Lewis Dunk that resulted in Southampton's first goal, but then a penalty which was a little

01:25bit harsh. It looked like it was a handball decision against Matt O'Reilly and it was

01:29tucked away by Adam Armstrong for Southampton to obviously get a two-all draw, which doesn't

01:36really matter in the scheme of things. In the pre-season results aren't the be-all and

01:40end-all, but from a brighter point of view and Fabian Herzler was talking about it post-match

01:44that they need to be able to see out these kind of matches when it obviously gets underway

01:49and hopefully they can learn from this before the season starts. So for all the match reaction,
