00:00That's the Los Angeles Dodgers going up against the Tampa Bay Rays.
00:02Yesterday, the Rays knocked off the Dodgers.
00:04Yamamoto on the mound today going up against Boyle.
00:07Overnight lines, Tom, we were sitting around a minus 190 price.
00:10Those are long gone.
00:11Price has been dropping here, 160s, 165s in the marketplace,
00:14and a total listed at 8.5.
00:16Not a lot of information on Boyle's last 45 days in Major League Baseball,
00:20only 17 and a third innings pitched on, but a decent ERA,
00:22slightly higher XFIP number.
00:24Yamamoto, you take a look at his ERA, 2.61 over the last 45 days,
00:28but a 3.04 XFIP number.
00:30Is it a bounce-back day today for the Dodgers, in your opinion?
00:33I really think it is, but I don't like this price on that minus 164.
00:37Last night, when I saw it open immediately,
00:39I actually saw it at minus 200 on the nose.
00:41So that's changed dramatically to minus 164 now.
00:44With Joe Boyle, so you said over the last 45 days he has 17 innings pitched.
00:48On the entire season, he only has 22.1.
00:50So we're not dealing with like a massive sample size in either regard.
00:53I will say he's a very confusing pitcher to me at first glance.
00:57His Babbitt, which is batting average of balls in play, is 154, which is insanely low.
01:02Last year for him, his Babbitt was up at 3.11.
01:05So he should be due for some negative regression.
01:07However, he has a 27% strikeout rate, which I would say is pretty darn strong,
01:11but a 10% walk rate.
01:13So you can strike hitters out, but you also allow them on base for free,
01:16and you're seemingly getting lucky with the Babbitt.
01:19So I would say he's actually due for some regression with the walks,
01:22the runners on base, and the power that the Dodgers have.
01:24The Dodgers come away with wind, but I don't like their price at minus 164.
01:28Yeah, Tommy, 92 degrees at first pitch today down in Tampa.
01:32Eight-mile-an-hour wind blowing out.
01:33It's perfect conditions.
01:34And if we are taking a look at Joe Boyle, we don't have a ton of information,
01:37but he's faced 51 lefties on the season.
01:40Low ground ball percentage, which isn't very good.
01:42Hard hit contact rate, 56%.
01:44And then we took a look at that 12.5% barrel rate, Tom.
01:47So if you're looking for RBIs and possibly home runs today,
01:50show you Otani, Freddie Freeman, Michael Conforto in that lineup.
01:53If we're looking at overall lefties, Otani, Freeman, Conforto, Freeland, Edmonds.
01:58They got five lefties in that lineup.
01:59I think it's a bounce-back day for the Dodgers.
02:01I think it's a bounce-back day for the Dodgers.
