00:00all right mlb trade deadline winners and losers here so on the winner's side i think everyone can

00:06agree that san diego padres bolstered their bullpen as well as their offense and i think

00:10they smell blood in the water that the dodgers haven't just closed this whole thing out i think

00:14the padres think the dodgers can be had as do the mets as do the phillies they're on our winners

00:19list as well as are the yankees and the mariners joe of all these who's the biggest winner of the

00:24winners ah you know i think it's the mariners i mean i would also say the phillies were a close

00:29second there because all they needed was that closer i thought but i think the mariners extending

00:32that lineup getting those two big bats with that pitching staff to me they were the biggest winners

00:36here i really like what they did and i think with that american league being so mediocre detroit not

00:40doing what they should have i think now the mariners have a clear path with mvp cal raleigh

00:47potentially to go ahead and get to the big dance this year finally for the first time that'd be

00:50great yeah it would be it would be electric all right and then the losers take us to the break

00:55who are the biggest losers here the tigers the twins the brewers the braves the pirates or

00:59a team not listed ah no it's the tigers for me i think at the top i don't love what the twins did

01:05but the twins were in a kind of tenuous situation there i wanted the brewers to be more aggressive

01:09but um again i guess the healthy brand of woodruff is just good enough for them and

01:12they're getting such good productivity from andrew vaughn i just don't know if that lasts

01:16that's the only thing so i would rather have had suarez there but i think they're just like hey we

01:22got this vaughn kid for next to nothing for aaron savali right and all of a sudden look what's gone on

01:27i don't know if you want to buy into that but the tigers man the tigers i think

01:31again they didn't really get a big impact bat they didn't get a big impact starting pitcher i don't

01:36understand what's going on there i don't think they are built for the postseason perhaps i'm wrong but

01:41i fear this can be one of these seasons where they roll through a weak division and then they get in

01:46the short series with the yankees or short series with um the mariners and then all of a sudden

01:53you know after school bowl what do you have and do you have enough thump in that lineup enough

01:57presence in that lineup and protection i just don't know if you do tigers are a fun team they're

02:02good team they're a scrappy team i just don't know if they have enough star power yet to get it done

02:06in the playoffs but we'll see what october brings always surprises
