The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will carry out a Safety Inspection and Audit (JISA) on the company whose bus was involved in an accident while transporting a kindergarten group along Jalan Persiaran Universiti 1, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in Serdang on Saturday (Aug 2).

The incident at 12.18 pm, involved a bus carrying five teachers and 30 kindergarten children on an outing.

00:46Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Farid Ahmad said the 44-year-old bus driver
00:52is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid to the left side of the road.
00:58Three children and one teacher sustained head injuries and were treated as outpatients at Serdang Hospital,
01:05while the bus driver has been remanded to assist in investigations under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
01:14Preliminary investigations also found that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol
01:20at the time of the incident.
01:22However, it is said he has 13 traffic summonses registered under his name.
