Loke: Prosecute parents who allow children to drive

The Transport Ministry has emphasised that the responsibility for supervising children falls squarely on parents.   Transport Minister Anthony Loke made this statement on Thursday (Sept 5) in response to questions about a recent incident in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, where a 10-year-old boy crashed the family car into a van, causing an accident involving two other vehicles.   Loke reiterated that parents, guardians, and vehicle owners will face legal action if they allow underage children to drive, stressing that this measure ensures accountability and prevents negligence in such serious matters.
