01:09Welcome back. In the box you have the supreme model itself. You get one bluetooth voice remote,
01:17one HDMI cable, a 5V 2A DC power adapter, and a user manual.
01:28Its design partially consists of a plastic shell with polished edges and a metal base plate.
01:34For IO it comes with one HDMI 2.1 port, one ethernet LAN, one optical audio, one AV port,
01:43one IR extender port, and its DC input socket. You also have its dual WiFi 6 antennas.
01:51For connecting storage you get one USB 3.0, one 2.0, and a microSD card reader. You also have a reset
02:00button located here on the side. At the front it comes with an LED display. And to its base has 4 rubber
02:09feet with lots of ventilation holes. So when you power on the box it boots up with a Superbox animation
02:17followed by a first startup wizard then you are taken to the launcher.
02:22So before you begin using the box you first have to pair the Bluetooth remote. Out of the box it works
02:30in infrared mode. So to pair it you simply press the OK button and the back button until the LED starts
02:37flashing. Then using the infrared function pair the box to it.
02:42So this launcher is called Launcher X and it features your main icons and you have your shortcuts bar
02:58here at the bottom. So I hope you have figured it out by now that I cannot show certain content on
03:05YouTube. This model is Superbox's top tier model and it comes at a very high price for good reasons.
03:12This is not your typical Android TV box. Instead it's a box where if you so desire you can access
03:19unlimited streams of live TV and video on demand movies. So in light of the controversy, Superbox
03:25has decided to change how you can access these services. You now truly have to download these
03:32apps at your own risk so to speak, I will explain. So out of the box it does not come with any third
03:38party apps, download links, or even the controversial APK app store where you're used to download these
03:44apps and services from. All that has been removed for safety and compliance. So if you want to access
03:51them you now have to go to a special URL and download the APK app store and then the streaming APKs within
03:58the store. So I went ahead and downloaded the APK app store from the URL. I will not show the URL in
04:08this video that will have to be obtained from Superbox via direct messaging when you purchase the box.
04:14So let's take a look at what you can access inside the APK app store. So it comes with their standard
04:21blue TV, blue VOD, and blue playback apps. And for alternative supreme apps you have to enter a
04:28separate section within the play store. Under supreme apps you get platinum plus, supreme 24 7 channels,
04:37supreme plus, supreme cinema, supreme tv and VOD, captain streams, sonic streams, supreme news,
04:47supreme sports, supreme latino, stellar tv, and supreme VOD. There are a few more worth mentioning
04:57but there are just too many to feature. I know you would love for me to go through all these apps
05:04but for the sake of this video I will not it's just too many. And in my opinion they are basically the
05:11same just a couple of different countries and lineups here or there. And they feed from different
05:16sources. So if one doesn't suit you or you can't find what you're looking for you are sure to find
05:23it in another. I will open one and that's the supreme TV and VOD app just for a sneak peek of
05:30what you can get with this purchase. So even though I'm not on YouTube I still have to respect the
05:36platform's rules and not go too far to violate their community guidelines by sharing content that could
05:43potentially cause problems. So that's what you are really paying the high price for for this model
05:48and not so much the hardware.
06:01So once I connected to the internet I performed my first malware scan using the
06:18Bitdefender mobile security app and it came back clean.
06:24Let's now take a look at its system and hardware information.
06:29So the manufacturer of this chipset is all winner. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal
06:37storage with Bluetooth 5.0. Its CPU is the all winner H313H616, a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor running
06:49at 1.5GHz configured in 32-bit mode. Its GPU is the Mali-G31 with open GLES version 3.2 support.
07:00Its network adapter is a Wi-Fi 6 model and it provides dual band 2.4 plus 5GHz Wi-Fi.
07:10It's running on Android 12 operating system and the firmware is rooted.
07:17Its GPU has Vulkan support API version 1.1.
07:22It has an idle operating temperature of around 62 degrees Celsius.
07:26And it comes with decoders for the playback of 4K HDR10 videos only. It does not support AV1,
07:34Dolby Vision, or any surround sound audio decoders.
07:39So the features of this firmware include, 4K display up to 2160p at 60Hz.
07:46You get HDR display with auto HDR feature.
07:49You get up to 10 bit color depth. You get auto frame rate switching.
07:58You get HDMI CC options.
08:02From experience, for built-in hardware decoders it only comes with HDR10 and not HLG.
08:10It comes with screen rotation to portrait mode feature but it does not work.
08:15And for surround sound audio, you have surround sound audio passed through.
08:20For digital rights management, it only has Google Widevine level 3 with no HDCP protection.
08:28And the root checker app also shows that the firmware is rooted.
08:34For watching YouTube videos, the Android TV version is limited to 1440p resolution with no HDR.
08:44For screen mirroring, it comes with the official version of Miracast via a Miracast receiver app.
08:58And here I'm using it to mirror my Android cell phone to the box.
09:09For playing 4K videos, it only comes with HDR10.
09:25Other formats will play but it only triggers HDR10.

09:46For surround sound audio, once you enable audio passthrough in the settings area, it
10:12outputs Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS Virtual X.

11:12benchmarking its performance. Seeing that it's not a high performance model, I will only list
11:18its Antutu benchmark and you can view the rest of its benchmarks on my rankings chart.
11:24So in the Antutu benchmark it scored 77,141.
11:31So based solely on its hardware performance, the Superbox Supreme ranks at position 95 with a 3
11:39out of 5 star rating based on its Antutu benchmark score. To view the rest of its benchmarks in

11:51In summary, the Superbox Supreme offers robust connectivity, decent storage, and 4K HDR10
11:58playback with surround sound audio passthrough making it suitable for basic streaming needs.
12:04However, its high price, overwhelming hardware performance, limited codec support,
12:10and non-functional features like screen rotation detract from its value.
12:14Its rooted firmware and clean malware scans are positives, but the lack of advanced DRM
12:21and potential content related issues may be a concern to some users.
