00:00The NFL is back tonight. The preseason begins. It is the Los Angeles Chargers and the Hall of

00:05Fame game taking on the Detroit Lions. The point spread is out. The Lions are a point and a half

00:11favorite. Why? I don't know, but okay. Sounds good. Total 32 and a half in the game. Always

00:18first game is very low total. I do understand that. Here's Jim Harbaugh. He can't contain his

00:23excitement to see his guys back out there. I hate to use the word comfortable because I just,

00:27I don't associate it with football, but I associate it in the terms of confidence.

00:34Everything you're doing, you're doing for a second time. Everybody that was here last year,

00:41I mean, they know the system. They know the plan better than they did a year ago.

00:48Um, and, uh, yeah, I know I got, uh, I know I got Kay Mack. I got Derwin, Justin, the elite,

00:57the other elite 10, uh, you know, there's a, there's a confidence there. So, um, uh, yeah,

01:04that's, I would associate, you know, anytime you're doing something for the second time,

01:08you know, then you're, then you're doing it. Uh, you've got experience of doing it the first time.

01:15All right. Let's bring in Michael DeCoursey to talk about the hall of fame game briefly,

01:18and then we'll move on to the rest of the NFL. I, Mike, I, I checked your, uh, your draft Kings

01:24account, your FanDuel accounts. I saw you're all in tonight on tonight's hall of fame game.

01:28Everything you got in the wallet, in the accounts are all going on this game tonight.

01:31I, I always wonder who does, uh, uh, take some action on a game like this, uh, because there,

01:39there's so little, you know, not, not about the teams necessarily where the chargers might go or

01:45where the lions might go. It's not that it's who's going to play and how are they going to play? And

01:50what are the, what are the priorities for the teams involved? And for me, the priorities are

01:56establishing backup quarterback play. That's your number one thing. Uh, in the case of, of the

02:03lions, uh, they are, uh, they have a terrific quarterback in Jared Goff. And then from there,

02:08a lot of questions, Herndon Hooker in his second year has only thrown nine passes. Kyle Allen,

02:14good at third guys you can have, but what if he has to play for you? Uh, he threw one pass a year

02:19ago. It was a completion for a first down, but it was one pass. Uh, so I, you worry about that.

02:25And on the other side, they're going to play Trey Lance for the chargers tonight,

02:28which says a lot about, uh, about how they feel about their one and two very confident there

02:34for good reason. Uh, but Trey Lance, a player who it's an interesting situation with him is it,

02:41he has only been around for a little while. He's still only 25 years old. He was the number three

02:46overall pick in the draft. Not that long ago. Now he's the third guy for a specific team in the

02:51chargers. Uh, so a lot for him to accomplish tonight and maybe gain back some of what he's

02:56lost in his time in the NFL.
