00:00It's almost like you look at the Atlanta Braves, what they try to do.
00:02Hey, really good player, sign him earlier.
00:04You're going to save some money, put some money in the back of the kid's pocket,
00:08and then you'll buy out those arbitration years.
00:11Cabrian Hayes isn't the end-all, be-all player at third base.
00:14He's a very good defensive player and hoping for a little bit more pop at the plate.
00:17But this is one of those guys that they tried to take that mode of,
00:19okay, we'll sign him early to save those arbitration years and already moving on.
00:23It's like, why do we have Paul Skeens?
00:24Why do we have any good players here if we're just going to continuously move them here?
00:28But Cabrian Hayes goes over to the Reds, adds some defense there.
00:30Don't mind the move, but it's just what Pittsburgh was like,
00:33hey, we're going to invest in our young players.
00:35Then right away, as soon as they start paying those young players,
00:37they just send them right out of town again.
00:40Yeah, and it's interesting because the player that we thought they might move was Keller.
00:46And yet Keller, it doesn't appear like, you know, it appears they're set on keeping him
00:52and extending him again and making him a part of that rotation.
00:56And he's had a really nice season for a team that can't score any runs.
00:59He's actually done a pretty good job.
01:01But I thought that was the pirate that they were going to move on.
01:06And yet Hayes is a guy that, you know,
01:09certainly could have been a fixture in that lineup as a pirate for a while here if they wanted him.
