00:00Hey, Frosty!
00:16Hey, Rudo!
00:23What a great June day!
00:27Positively balmy.
00:28Only ten below.
00:31Rudolph, can the kids watch your jumping practice?
00:34Sure.
00:36Millie, chilly!
00:40Okay, Daddy.
00:42Here we come.
00:49Would you light up your nose for us, Uncle Rudolph?
00:53Just once, please?
00:55Okay.
00:56Just once.
00:58Oh, Rudolph.
01:04What's the matter with your nose?
01:07I... I don't know.
01:10It... it's... it's going out.
01:13I don't know.
01:14What's the matter with your mouth?
01:17THE END
01:47THE END
02:17THE END
02:47THE END
03:17THE END
03:47Yes, sir. Believe it or not, Rudolph's nose went out.
03:58And all because of something that started years and years ago.
04:02And I mean years.
04:04Long before I came to the North Pole, all this territory was ruled over by a powerful magic king of the North Pole named Winter Bone.
04:18And this terrible tyrant's powers came from a scepter of solid ice.
04:32And all the good creatures who dared defy his wickedness were destroyed or driven away from their Northland homes.
04:48Old Winter Bolt's tyranny lasted for ages.
04:54But one day, there came a being who was more than his match.
05:00Lady Boreal, the queen of the Northern Lights, who took on human form in order to defy Winter Bolt and defend the oppressed and innocent.
05:15King Winter Bolt, for years I have seen your malevolent cruelty.
05:22And now I take human form to command thee, stop this tyranny at once.
05:28You've caused enough pain and unhappiness.
05:30You don't frighten me.
05:34Be gone.
05:39You've had your chance, cruel monarch of the North.
05:43And now I must silence you.
05:46Forever?
05:47Alas, nothing is forever.
05:51But you will fall into a deep, deep sleep.
05:54And so you shall remain, so long as my magic burns bright.
05:59Too powerful for me.
06:08Your force overwhelms me.
06:13And he fell into a profound sleep of many, many winters.
06:20And eventually, Winter Bolt and all his evil were forgotten.
06:33The good and gentle creatures returned to the North.
06:38First, the animals.
06:41And then the little ones.
06:43The Kringle elves.
06:45And I suppose it was Lady Boreal's good grace which led me and my young bride to these Northlands.
06:54The perfect place for me to build my toy factory.
07:01And carry out my life's mission.
07:03Far away from all who would stop me.
07:18And the passing years were good to all of us.
07:21But Lady Boreal's monumental efforts had drained her of most of her magic and all of her strength.
07:28She knew her days as a human were numbered.
07:35Alas, nothing is forever.
07:39But in Santa, the Northlands have a kind and true leader.
07:45And I may rest with ease.
07:47And she became again the magic glow of the Aurora Borealis.
08:08I am awake.
08:10I live again.
08:14Winter Bolt lives.
08:16Winter Bolt lives.
08:18I can't wait to see what's been going on while I've been resting.
08:31Who is this, my magic eye of snow shows?
08:39He looks to be a king.
08:41But there can be no king of the north save me.
08:46I must rid my north lands of this ho-ho-ho-ing creature
08:51and his flock of Christmas interlopers.
08:56But how?
08:58Tell me, oh genie of the ice scepter.
09:02His power comes from the love he receives
09:11from children all over the world.
09:16Is he as powerful as me?
09:18At the moment, far more powerful.
09:23Then I shall make the world's children love me instead of him.
09:29Tell me.
09:30How does he please these children?
09:34Each Christmas Eve, he sets forth in his sleigh
09:39and leaves every child a toy before dawn.
09:46Ha ha ha ha ha! Is that all?
09:49Genie, tell me how I might stop him from going forth.
09:54Next Christmas Eve,
09:56Have the snow dragons create a storm of ice and fog
10:03the likes of which the north has never seen.
10:10Santa will become hopelessly lost
10:14and the toys will never be delivered.
10:20Bravo, excellent.
10:21Bravo, excellent.
10:22Then I shall set forth with my own supply of toys
10:27in my own sleigh.
10:30Why, I could be greater than Santa.
10:36I'd give the little rats twice as many toys
10:39and they would love me more.
10:44They'd become lazy and dependent on me
10:48and I would rule them all.
10:50And when they grew up,
10:52why, the whole world would be my own personal snowball.
10:57How little Winterbolt knows
11:02of the ways of Santa and children.
11:06There's more than just giving toys.
11:09There is kindness
11:11and the loving warmth of a family on Christmas morn.
11:16These things cannot die.
11:18I will not let them.
11:24But I am so old and weak.
11:29Ice and fog on Christmas Eve
11:32to hinder Santa's sleigh.
11:35I must leave him something
11:38small, I fear,
11:40to guide him on his way.
11:43And a little later that day,
11:53Tiny Reindeer was born.
11:58Oh, have no fear, my little one.
12:02Soon your father will be home.
12:05Oh, and I must rest for the moment.
12:13Little one,
12:16I have so little magic left to leave thee.
12:20Use it wisely and well.
12:24On this small hoof,
12:27a magic mark I make.
12:29The Christmas star,
12:32cradled by a snowflake.
12:35And with this secret mark,
12:38the magic of the Northern Lights
12:40lives in thee.
12:41How, you ask?
12:45Think good thoughts
12:47and you will see.
12:50Oh!
12:52Will the magic last forever,
12:55you wonder?
12:57Nothing is forever,
12:58as I have often said.
13:01But this magic is strong
13:03and your nose will glow
13:06so long as you use it for good.
13:09if you are tempted
13:10even once
13:12to use it for an evil purpose,
13:15it will be extinguished forever.
13:18Do you understand?
13:20Uh-huh.
13:21And will you never use it for evil?
13:25Uh-uh.
13:27Mm-hmm.
13:28And now I leave you,
13:31little babe,
13:32to your mother's love.
13:33use your secret magic
13:37well.
13:42Oh!
13:44What was that?
13:45Was someone here?
13:46Uh-huh.
13:48Mm-mm.
13:49Mm-hmm.
13:51Can't you make up your mind,
13:52my little one?
13:54Hey!
13:55Where's my boy?
13:57Here, my darling.
13:59Flew 300 miles
14:01in only 15 leaps
14:02when I heard the news
14:04and...
14:05Oh!
14:06Will you just look at him?
14:08Ha-ha!
14:09My little buck.
14:12We'll name him
14:13Rudolph!
14:14Rudolph!
14:14Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
14:21Had a very shiny nose
14:25And if you ever saw it
14:28You would even say it glows
14:31All of the other reindeer
14:34Used to laugh and call in names
14:38They never let poor Rudolph
14:41Join in any reindeer games
14:45Then one foggy Christmas Eve
14:48Santa came to say
14:51Rudolph, will you're now so bright
14:55Won't you guard my sleigh tonight?
14:58Then how the reindeer loved him
15:01As they shouted out with glee
15:04Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
15:07You'll go down in history
15:12Oh, I of Snow
15:31What's this you show?
15:33A red-nosed reindeer?
15:35Yeah?
15:36So that's how Santa defeated
15:38My snow dragons
15:40It will be a different story
15:44Next Christmas Eve
15:45A red-nosed reindeer is no match
15:48For King Winterbolt
15:51Hey!
15:56It's really going up
15:59What's happening, Uncle Rudolph?
16:03What's wrong with your nose?
16:08Dimmer, darker, darker, dimmer
16:12Rudolph's magic shall not glimmer
16:16Dark and dim
16:18Dim and dark
16:22No extinguished magic spark
16:26Rudolph
16:33Rudolph
16:34It's all over, Frosty
16:37My nose is going
16:41I feel awful
16:44Oh, Rudolph
16:48Your nose just can't go out
16:51Santa depends on it
16:53Yeah, but
16:54There's little kids all over the world
16:57Who'd never get any Christmas presents
16:59If you didn't light the way
17:01You're right, Frosty
17:02I can't lose my nose
17:05Unless...
17:07Unless...
17:08What are you trying to say?
17:12Can't remember exactly
17:13Something a pretty lady once whispered to me
17:17I...
17:19I don't know
17:20But my nose just can't go out
17:23Don't worry
17:25I'm okay now
17:36Good old Uncle Rudolph
17:38It's impossible that his power is greater than mine
17:43There must be a reason
17:45He has the wonder of the Aurora Borealis within him
17:52A power far greater than thine
17:56So long as he uses the nose for good
18:02It can never go out
18:05Then I shall see that he uses it for evil
18:10Not in these northern lands, O Master
18:14The memory of Lady Boreal still blows here and protects him
18:22He must be made to leave the North Pole
18:25He sets forth but once a year
18:29Christmas Eve
18:32I cannot wait
18:34There must be a way to make him leave now
18:36Help me, O genie of the Ice Scepter
18:40Look into thy magic eye of snow
18:45There you will find the answer
18:50What's this?
18:58A balloon?
18:59A balloon?
19:02How can a hot air balloon help me lure Rudolph away?
19:08Hmm
19:08Ah
19:09I wonder
19:13Rudolph
19:19Hey, Rudolph
19:21Hey, it's Milton
19:24Who?
19:25The Flying Ice Cream Man
19:27He keeps his stock up here
19:32Where it won't melt
19:33And this time every year
19:35He picks up a big load to take down to the seashore
19:37For the Fourth of July weekend
19:39Wait till you meet him
19:42A million laughs
19:43Come on
19:44Frosty
19:47Millie
19:48Chili
19:49Dinner's ready, sweethearts
19:51Sorry, Crystal
19:54I gotta meet somebody
19:55Rudolph says he's a million laughs
19:58But I've got dinner on the table
20:00It'll get all warm
20:02You can always cool it up in the ice stove
20:05Come on
20:07A million laughs
20:08Come on, come on
20:10How you doing, Milton?
20:13Awful
20:14What's wrong, Milton?
20:19I'm in love
20:20With who?
20:24You're in love with the whole circus?
20:28I'd call a guy like that fickle
20:30No
20:31Just with her
20:35Lainey Lorraine
20:39Her mother owns the circus
20:43We were gonna be married
20:46Right on the high wire
20:48Hired a preacher
20:51And a net
20:52And everything
20:53Well, what happened?
20:56Oh, the circus is going broke
20:58And another showman
21:00A crook named Sam Spangles
21:04Is ready to pay off the back taxes
21:06And take over the show
21:08Okay, take it up over here
21:20So you see
21:26Lainey can't even think about romance
21:30And if her mom's show
21:32Doesn't get a big audience on the 4th
21:33It'll be sold to Sam Spangles
21:36On July 6th
21:38Lainey will have to go on the road
21:41And we'll never get together
21:44Oh, what luck!
21:49Thank you, Eye of Snow
21:51Rudolph will never suspect a thing
21:55First, however
21:59I shall put a little idea
22:01Into Milton's empty head
22:04I don't know what to do
22:20Hey, I just got a great idea
22:26There's only one guy who could draw the kind of crowds the circus by the sea needs
22:33And that's you, Rudolph
22:36Me?
22:37Why, the kids would just pack their tent
22:40To see you and your nose in person
22:42Oh, wow
22:43Uncle Rudolph in the circus?
22:46Hey, wait a minute
22:48Rudolph, you just gotta go
22:50Well, if you say so, pal
22:54Okay
22:55It would be wonderful if we could go with him, Frosty
23:02I sure would like the twins to see a real circus
23:05Wow
23:06If you'd appear too, Frosty
23:08We'd have to get a bigger tent
23:10Aw, Daddy
23:12Can we?
23:13Please
23:14We'd be good
23:16No way
23:17The seashore on the 4th of July?
23:20We'd be real misfits
23:22We'd melt in 10 seconds flat
23:25Aw
23:26Being snow people has its drawbacks
23:30Sometimes I feel like a real misfit
23:33Aw, Frosty
23:35I just forgot for a minute
23:37I'm sorry
23:38Why, I wouldn't have us any other way
23:41Everything I've always wanted
23:48You are everything I've always wanted
23:51And I'll never let you go
23:54I will take deserted byways
23:59Dusty roads or cement highways
24:01Follow you through rain or sleet or snow
24:05In my wildest dreams
24:08I never dreamed I'd find somebody
24:11I would love much more
24:13Than I could ever show
24:15You are everything
24:19I've always wanted
24:21More than anything
24:22And if there's any doubt
24:24Well, now you know
24:26You are everything
24:40I've always wanted
24:42More than anything
24:43And if there's any doubt
24:46Well, now you know
24:47If there's any doubt
24:51Well, now you know
24:53That melting business is a nuisance
24:59But it doesn't make you all misfits, Frosty
25:02Take it from another misfit
25:05If only there was some way
25:08To make you unmeltable
25:11Wow
25:16Like a fairy godfather
25:19Oh, just say
25:23I'm an old, old magical friend
25:26Who wishes to help
25:28Children should see a circus
25:32At least once in their lives
25:34So I will help
25:37What can you do, sir
25:42To stop Frosty and his family
25:44From melting
25:45Observe
25:46Magic amulets
25:50If Frosty, Crystal, Millie, and Chili
25:53Wear them about their necks
25:55They cannot melt
25:57Even though the temperature
25:59Be hot enough to melt steel
26:01Still, they will remain cool
26:04And icy
26:06Wow
26:07Our troubles are over forever
26:10No
26:10Not forever
26:12See
26:14On each is a design
26:17The letter F
26:18Four times entwined
26:20Yeah
26:22F
26:22F
26:23F
26:24F
26:25What's that stand for?
26:27That means
26:28The amulet's magic
26:30Only lasts
26:31Until the final firework
26:33Fades on the fourth
26:35You must return here
26:38Before the fireworks finish
26:40Or you will melt
26:42In the heat of a summer eve
26:44But until then
26:46Why
26:47You will be safe
26:50Wow
26:51The circus
26:53He certainly does blow in and blow out
27:04Well, I'm delighted you're all going for a summer holiday
27:12But
27:12I never heard of any icy fairy godfather
27:17You should have seen him, sir
27:19I wish I had
27:21Who could he be?
27:25Well, I guess I'm
27:27Just being overcautious
27:30You're all going in
27:34And have a wonderful time
27:37Yay
27:38Yay
27:39Just one thing
27:41What's wrong, Frosty?
27:43It's too bad the kids have to miss the Fourth of July fireworks
27:47But half a vacation's better than none, I guess
27:51No, you're right
27:53Children should see fireworks
27:56Let me think
27:59And now
28:02To entwine them
28:03Just a bit more
28:04Into a morass
28:05From which they will
28:06Never escape
28:08Say, I just got a wonderful idea
28:23Mama and I will fly my sleigh down for the fort
28:27We'll pick up Frosty and family
28:30Just before the fireworks finish
28:32And whisk them back up to the North Pole
28:35By the time the last one fades
28:38Wonderful
28:39What a neat idea
28:41I can't believe it
28:43Rudolph, Frosty, and now Santa
28:48Why, this really will be the greatest show
28:52In the universe
28:54It will
28:57Everything I've always wanted
29:03You are everything I've always wanted
29:06And I'll never let you go
29:09I will take deserted byways
29:14Dusty roads
29:16Or cement highways
29:17And follow you through rain
29:19Or sleet
29:20Or snow
29:21In my wildest dreams
29:25I never dreamed
29:26I'd find somebody
29:28I would love much more
29:30Than I could ever show
29:32In a few days
29:35You are everything I've always wanted
29:38More than anything
29:40And if there's any doubt
29:42Well, now you know
29:44Oh, Frosty, it's lovely
29:53Oh, look over there
29:56It's the circus
29:57Yup, they're starting to set up their tents
30:01Come on, you guys
30:06Let's get this tent up
30:08Oh, Mama, look
30:09It's Milton
30:10Yay!
30:12Hi, Laney
30:13Hi, Miss Lorraine
30:15Oh, Mama, isn't he wonderful?
30:18He's the greatest ice cream man in the world
30:20Oh, forget him, honey
30:22There's one thing life's taught me
30:24You can't live on banana splits
30:26Laney
30:33Look who I've got for the show
30:35Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
30:38And Frosty the Snowman
30:40In person?
30:44Well, I'll be
30:46Yahoo!
30:48Oh, Mama
30:49Will be a hit
30:50What do you think of Milton now?
30:52Maybe I was wrong
30:53Milton's like the butter pecan he sells
30:56A little nuts, but mighty yummy
30:59Wahoo!
31:03Oh, Milton
31:04Oh, Laney
31:08Now everything will turn out all right
31:11Rudolph and Frosty?
31:13I can't believe it
31:15And Santa Claus, too
31:16Santa, too?
31:18What an idea for a closing act
31:21Win my ticket!
31:23Why, it's just like Christmas is coming early this year
31:26Oh, Milton
31:28Everything is just perfect now
31:30Now we've got something to work for
31:35Come on with that tent
31:37Eve, ho, ho, ho!
31:40Eve, ho, ho, ho!
31:42What's with the ho, ho, ho?
31:44Well, it is Christmas
31:46Isn't it?
31:47Christmas in July
31:50Seems early
31:53For a holly
31:57Holiday
31:59In this world of holly
32:06We need it
32:11Every day
32:14Remember
32:16Remember
32:16You should have the Christmas
