Trump Asked About Criticisms That Starmer 'Wasn't Entirely Honest About Free Speech And Immigration'

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, President Trump was asked about criticisms of UK PM Keir Starmer.

00:09I thought he did well in the press conference.

00:11And I thought, you know, I think they made a good deal.

00:15I think we all made a good deal.

00:21I think the feeling is that he was maybe a little weak

00:25and didn't really have very strong answers

00:27and maybe wasn't entirely honest about free speech and immigration.

00:30I like him.

00:31I think he's good.

00:32I think he's a great representative for the UK.

00:34I haven't heard that.

00:36In your meeting with John Swinney today,

00:38did he offer to drop tariffs on Scotch whisky?

00:41We really didn't discuss it much.

00:43But I have a lot of respect for him.

00:45Mr. President, I didn't have a lot of respect for the woman that preceded him.

00:49I thought she was terrible as a first minister of Scotland.

00:52But I think John is doing a very good job as first minister.
