00:00Former local government minister Faris al-Rawi responds to CPAP corruption claims saying the previous incarnation of the UNC spent more on CPAP than the PNM.
00:11In the year 2014 to 2015, the subvention from the UNC was $725,705,808. Let me repeat that. $726 million was spent in CPAP.
00:28As compared to $358 million spent by the PNM government. You would note that in that period of time, CPAP wasn't the only program that Mrs. Passard-Bissessor ran. She ran the live sport program.
00:44He also condemned the government for maintaining ties with senior counsel Anand Ramlogan.
00:49Mr. Anand Ramlogan is the senior counsel of choice for this government.
00:56And Mr. Ramlogan, I would like to put on the record, is a fellow that has, in my view, a few questions to ask of himself and to answer.
01:06Mr. Anand Ramlogan, it is not lost upon me, is the subject of several written statements from me given to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service at their request.
01:19Let me repeat that. The police came to me and asked me to give written statements on Anand Ramlogan.
01:26He says Ramlogan is the subject of civil action by the Office of the Attorney General and referenced today's appeal court ruling on the King's Council, Vincent Nelson matter.
01:37On at least 11 occasions, Mr. Nelson has confessed to guilt, which he has been sentenced, convicted and sentenced for.
01:49And he has never recanted the statements that he made now at least 11 times, including before the DPP in a plea agreement,
02:00a high court judge, a magistrate, a high court again, the court of appeal, et cetera.
02:08He has never recanted his statement that he engaged in bribery and that he paid bribes to people, including Mr. Anand Ramlogan.
