Here is the results of the few seed Rooster potatoes planted out a few months ago.

what we're going to be doing is basically these are some of the potatoes the seed potatoes that
00:14
I sold earlier in the year and these are a rooster variety an Irish potato we've got a
00:22
bucket here I don't know how this is turned out but for all of us tell me that you know
00:27
when the potatoes are ready to harvest because the foliage starts dying back and as you can see a
00:33
lot of this foliage has already died so I'm hoping I can see a few poking out here already they're
00:41
quite small but at least they grew so there's two straight off the bat at the top of the mound now
00:50
all I've done I've grown two different varieties of potatoes Kelly's and these roosters in these
00:57
grow bags so we'll tip it out onto here and then see how it went just leave that over there for now
01:07
and it's been a good year generally for things like fruit and vegetables well I'll just do
01:18
we actually is pull out the plants first there's another potato there's some quite tiny ones here
01:30
so some of these may not have been ready to harvest yet but most of them have died so we'll just have a
01:37
look you can see well they're quite small it's quite a small space and I'm growing them in but just
01:47
you can see there
01:50
and I got these seed potatoes in a gardening center ah yep you can see some of them these are the seed
02:09
potatoes here that were on the roots of those some of them are actually in mush so I may have left them
02:18
too long some of them are still growing actually as well so this greener plants those ones don't seem
02:30
to be ready yet there's one that one's growing roots as well so I may put some of these plants back in
02:40
actually but let's see yeah there's the actual seed potatoes so throw that away yeah some of them are still
02:53
growing little baby potatoes um but most of them have died off so we'll have a look here
03:02
you can see all the little baby potatoes growing on it so I may shove that in with the others
03:20
ah and here's two potatoes must have been the wrong you can see the difference there those are white
03:28
potatoes so must have been one of the seed potatoes from the other bag got in there so here we have
03:36
some honesty that needs to get into the ground for next year now this was sown last year but it didn't
03:42
flower this year so it walled next year and honesty came in really only performs good in the ground
03:50
so what I'll do is
04:06
I'll just puff it
04:13
because the grow bag is basically gone I'm going to just replant some of these
04:19
and here and maybe get another harvest out of them
04:22
so
04:48
all right it's very good soil actually so and this is just compost there's no nothing special on it
04:59
and I probably should have been feeding these a lot more I don't think I ever fed them
05:06
but they still come on ground and we've still got a bucket there with a lot of potatoes on it
05:12
so all I'm going to do now is replant these ones that are still green
05:24
let's see if we get an hour harvest then
05:26
let's see if you can see that that's the seed potato that's gone right now
05:40
it's done it's done it's job
05:53
still got this one and this one I've still a couple here so we'll get them in somewhere else
06:01
and this whole compost there I will reuse I will just put it on
06:15
up of the bed here behind me
06:17
waste nothing
06:31
so then we'll probably get another harvest from this one
06:46
and these ones as well so we need another pot for these I might even put them on the raised bed up
06:52
here
07:08
right
07:12
I'll just show you now what we have so a whole host of smallish potatoes these are rooster potatoes
07:18
good to go
