00:00in terms of fruit what we have here is the strawberries which are coming on great
00:24I have three parts of strawberries here over here we have a couple that are ripe
00:37so I am just going to pick them here's another one that was not like that but keeping them up on a height like this is great
00:49because it means that the critters are more likely to attack them these are giant and this is a variety
01:04something here somewhere and then I have this one is wild strawberry native Irish so this is just
01:18wild strawberry and I can see here already there's runners at it so what I'm going to do is let them take root so I get more plants
01:28and there's the size of those strawberries like so it's pretty good and this is a definite one again although I've lost the label
01:39I think there's two in here actually but you can see there's more flowers coming
01:46and here we have
01:52the broccoli that we agree from seed
01:56I light back the purple and see the purple veins on this one
02:00and that is coming up really well
02:06and that should flower and that
02:10and maybe another month or so that'll be ready to harvest
02:14I would say
02:15some of it's being eaten so you have to have a look at that
02:19and this was
02:20the salad crest and stuff
02:23and the salad rabbit that just went to seed
02:26and I should probably collect some of the seeds for that
02:31here we have the potatoes
02:33the seed potatoes
02:34looking really healthy as well
02:37my flower in the summer
02:39and here's some brussels sprouts
02:42and some more seed potatoes
02:47but this is where I keep all the vegetables
02:52there's some tomatoes that have been grown outdoors
02:54I think they had a bit burnt there
02:56inside the greenhouse
02:58so I've left the door open
02:59I know that there's some nice warm water
03:02and I'll just show you the difference between growing tomatoes
03:08indoors and outdoors
03:09in the mud
03:10so these are the same tomatoes planted at the same time
03:19as the ones under it
03:22but I also had some in smaller pots in here
03:26which in the greenhouse is not empty
03:28we've got the
03:30some tomatoes they have potted up yesterday
03:33but they've only potted up one last time
03:36into a big big container
03:37down here I've got some squashes
03:39which I'm going to try and train up here
03:43so
03:45these are looking great
03:47I often seed as well this year
03:51and look at the difference in the tomatoes
03:58when you see these ones
03:59these are taller than me now
04:08it's like a jungle
04:11what I think I'm going to do now is
04:13I'm going to put these in the living house
04:17I think
04:17it'll even slow they'll grow for a wee bit
04:20but
04:20they're just getting
04:24and you can see here
04:25I'm drying out some honesty as well
04:27for some of the ornamental silver seed pods
04:34I'll just take you up and show you some of the fruit now
04:38oh I'll take you into the sea one too
04:40so
04:41you might recall
04:43I try to grow various things in this bed
04:45and nothing really
04:46everything gets eaten
04:47so
04:47I had some carrots
04:50and beans in there
04:51but you can see now
04:52we're starting to get
04:53some of the beans
04:55these are runner beans I think
04:57that have come up
04:59there's some more there
05:04so I can probably start harvesting them soon
05:07but the one thing that did grow in here
05:09was the spring onions
05:10they were quite easy to grow from seed
05:14and this is chamomile
05:15this little flower
05:17this is a gem in chamomile
05:19so you can make tea and stuff from that
05:21it's supposed to be very good for chamomile
05:23and I also have some fennel in here
05:26that I'm growing from seed
05:27I had asparagus in here
05:30but I don't see it coming on
05:31it's two bare roots
05:33but I'll leave it for a while
05:36and see
05:36because it's a bit of a long term plant asparagus
05:40so
05:41and
05:43we'll go on up here
05:45the red currants are
05:49now coming into season
05:52I see the birds down
05:55checking these regularly
05:57the blackbirds and starlings and stuff
06:01they will all
06:02basically devour them
06:04as soon as they come in
06:05I've got something growing up through them too
06:09and I don't want to choke it
06:10trying to make sure that's out
06:14there I come
06:15and then
06:19this was a cotton of a blackcurrant plant
06:23that I just put out yesterday
06:24there's two more here
06:27along with two blueberry
06:29plants that haven't really come on
06:31you can see one there
06:32it hasn't really grown at all
06:34in two years
06:35and
06:36you know a small one there
06:38doesn't really done anything
06:39these are three pear trees
06:41which aren't doing too bad
06:45two of them are new
06:46and the pear variety for this one
06:48is conference pear
06:50and that one
06:51this one
06:53is an older one
06:54but
06:55the soil is not great up around here
06:58but it's good for
06:59gooseberries
07:00which are now
07:01growing in the fruit
07:04and
07:05these are such an easy fruit to grow
07:08I like them because they have a mild enough taste
07:11they're hardly picked because of the thorns
07:13but
07:15a pair of gloves on me
07:16and
07:18you can make jams out of them
07:19you can use them
07:20in desserts
07:21they're really really versatile
07:23that is
07:25everything I have for now
07:27I like them
07:29how do they Frage
07:29this
07:32will them
07:33have a quel please
07:34regardless of how to value
