Four people shot at Detroit gas station, one killed

The morning of July 28, 2025, Detroit police were searching for a gunman who opened fire inside a Marathon gas station on the city's west side, killing a man and sending three women to the hospital. WWJ's Charlie Langton was on the scene.

00:05This is the scene of a multiple shooting.

00:08Detroit police actively investigating

00:10what appears to be around 4 o'clock this morning.

00:15Witnesses went into the Marathon gas station.

00:19They heard multiple shots.

00:21Two people are down and

00:23there looks like they're working on some of them now that we really can't see.

00:28But they're inside the gas station.

00:30At least another person was hit.

00:32Again, Detroit police are still waiting for confirmation.

00:35But in this multiple shooting,

00:37very serious condition here on the city's west side.
