The Specials LTD brought 2 Tone, ska and high-energy live music to Tenby in an unforgettable tribute to The Specials.
The gig was held at the De Valence Pavilion in Tenby on Friday, July 25 to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Too Much Too Young.
“Great gig, great bunch of lads,” was the verdict from Mark Antony, who took all the photos featured here, and he wasn’t alone in his praise. Other audience members described the night as “brilliant”, “awesome” and “fab”.
One of the UK’s finest tribute acts, The Specials Ltd recreated the raw energy and iconic sound of the original band – complete with all the hits including Ghost Town and A Message to You Rudy.
A lifelong Specials fan was full of enthusiasm: “You were brilliant! Thank you so much for the energy, the sweat, the dancing - so good!
And this was the band’s reaction to the Tenby crowd:
“Thank you Tenby! What a show at the De Valence Pavilion last night - you were an awesome audience and the atmosphere was simply incredible! We won’t be forgetting that one for a while!”
They added: “Big thanks to Chris from Events for Wales, AGMP Concerts, Lee on sound, Dave and all the staff at the venue for their help and hospitality and, of course, everyone who came to see us play.
“Next stop, GlastonBarry!”
Next up is Legend - The Bob Marley Experience on August 8.
Other events in August include a Tenby Summer Charity Extravaganza on Sunday, August 17, starring Re Take That and Nicole Marie as Shania. Then on Saturday, August 32, The Pop Punk Revolution Tour presents tributes to Blink-182, Green Day and Sum-41.
