00:00Sarawak DAP has fired back at Gabongan Party's Sarawak Assemblyman Lo Kierqiang for condemning

00:06the party's continuous attacks against GPS, calling it an attempt to stifle legitimate

00:11dissent and scrutiny.

00:13Michael Kong and aid to Sarawak DAP Chief Chong Chen Jian said the party was simply

00:18fulfilling its role as the opposition and check-in balance in the Sarawak Assembly.

00:22In a statement, he said their duty is to represent the people, question excesses, and hold the

00:27government accountable as that is what a healthy democracy demands.

00:32Earlier, Lo said Sarawak DAP's repeated attacks on GPS called into question the sincerity of

00:37the government's unity.

00:39The Batu Kitak Assemblyman said previous apologies from DAP over past offensive statements were

00:44discredited by their actions of repeatedly undermining Sarawak's leadership.

00:49He said these apologies, made before the unity government's formation, were quickly discredited

00:54by Sarawak DAP's actions.
